Lit Chat gave me a permanent timeout for mentioning a voice platform. Mods are just doing their jobs—and while I don’t completely agree, I want to focus on what really matters: all of the amazing people in this community.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to make friendships, connections and random silly interactions that are nothing short of incredible.

You've have helped me through the hardest moments, like losing my partner to cancer, and also made life lighter, more playful… and yes, even sexier at times. From laughs to all the cheeky little sparks, this community has been safe, joyful, and amazing.

Never understood the whole 'don't mention any other sites' rule. Never heard the like of it on any other web site I visit, let alone getting a permanent ban for it.

Site owner said we have to enforce it....and It is when you are told multiple times to not do that and then keep doing it.

To be fair, I’ve been a repeat offender over the years (as i see it as a grey area). On that particular day, I was dealing with connection and loading issues on Lit and didn’t notice any warning. I don’t fully agree with the reasoning, as it’s a feature Lit doesn’t support, and I’m definitely not offering everyone the opportunity to move onto a voice platform—but it is what it is. However, after seeking clarification from the moderators, I felt they were somewhat heavy-handed and even a bit catty, coming across as petty or snide—though that may just be my emotional reaction to the situation.

I had stopped each time I was told to, anyway its a moot point. I’m not seeking a pardon and have accepted the decision—just expressing my views and thoughts on lit.

There are definitely grey areas on lit and a Mod job isn’t easy and requires judgment, so I can kinda understand why rules can be applied quite literally and to be fair I was aware, just didn’t think it would be taken that seriously..

And as for me catty and snide...i told you...you have been banned here is the reason...we will not reverse it...and then you kept messaging."Are you sure?" yes....but what if this...no you are banned. But but but...No....but what if i said i was sorry?! no...and then quip answered in the thread...and you kept going...and now you have the here is my sob story thank you all for talking to me! bullshit....to make us look like assholes...the problem is...I am an asshole. I don't fall for guilt trips...i don't care if your dog died and your second cousin has cancer...and your house burned down...and you have bad mental health. Guess what...we all go through these things. My mom had cancer and a heart attack in the same year. I have lost 2 good friends in the past 3 months. One to being stabbed and one to cancer. My cat died last year. And I know the pain of having a house fire and I am off work because my mental health was shit.

And all of these things except the house fire happened since I joined lit...and you know what I didn't do? Repeatedly been told to stop breaking rules.

I have I am sure been reported to the site more times that I want to think about...wanna know why? Because I did my job as a mod..banned people for terrible shit and you were banned because we have mullllltiple logs of you doing things after we told you no. So because of all the nonsense I have personally been through in the past few years I am no longer the nice one. I am an asshole. But I am an asshole that gets shit done and I will keep doing so. You want to be told to fuck off politely...talk to Quip. He is fabulous at it. He is much more patient than me too...but I am around more. So i am the one who does most of this.

And since your preferred way to chat is voice and you don't like text based chats...go to places that offer that. I am not sure why this is hard. 90% of people who want to get people off lit are looking to scam them and know that if it happens offsite we will not do much but ban that person.

So...there is your bed...feel free to lie in it.

We have people try to argue with the rules in so many ways. But the rules don't say this specifically! Yes and if we made a rule for every...single.....fucked up thing that people do...the rules list would be 25 pages long.

But yeah fuck ponzi schemes and yeah sorry no hit men...despite some of the names.

Missing the point— it’s a forum where people can share their views; I hope freely.

Whilst I did ask if it will be reconsidered and for how long it will be.. I have ultimately chosen to accept it and this thread is of me sharing my views.
