Greedflation

Another GREEDFLATION report:

😳

Now extrapolate for ALL of the various food producers doing the same exact thing, and then understand why there was an unnatural spike in food prices.

GREEDFLATION.

🤬

Natural post pandemic inflation is one thing., but coordinated price gouging (GREEDFLATION) is another.

🤬

President Biden and Democrats took the hit for the food price inflation that right wing corporate scumbags exacerbated.

🤬

JFC

SAD!!!

Eh? I kinda agree. Lol. You and I could talk mif corporatinor nuances later. But…

TH? Sigh. There’s a political party and a president who has said inflation has been mostly corporate greed from day one. I’d like you to take the next step and acknowledge those who do not stand up for the middle class and runs on less taxes and protections for big businesses.

And pocjet: They cant sell what we dont buy.....it’s up to us NOT to buy the stuff or switch to non bran or alternate stuff....if possible.

All very nice but you can, and follow me here because this is crazy - you could vote against the interests of big businesses and billionaires.
Yep ,Trump says it is corporate greed but neither he nor the GOP do anything about it . If corporate profits go up during an inflationary period it means they are price gouging, not keeping up with the cost of the supply chain ..and a lot of what we see is that, including Trump's tarrifs.

They could hit corporations with excess profits tax, if profits grow during an inflationary period beyond a typical growth rate, tax excess profits at 100%>

One of the big problems we face is that there aren't alternatives, thanks to lack of competition you have oligopolies. It is much like the US auto industry in the past, they didn't compete on price by mutual agreement.

Small businesses are getting hammered because they face huge price increases from supplier corporations, try to eat the increase and can't.

And what does trump go after? He threatened gas station owners to lower the price of gasoline, says they are gouging , they aren't. The wholesale price of gasoline ( known as rbob on markets ) and the price at the pump are in their normal ratio ( stations typically make about 10c a gallon) . That price isn't gouging ,it isn't even the oil companies, it is supply and demand and trading puts.
