That's a hefty bit o driving for a weekend... but I can't say I don't understand.
I was in a LDR for several years with a gal in Austin, TX. 1190 miles driveway to driveway - oneway. THAT is a long drive! *lol*

ahh humpy humpu humpy.. i wish.. no humpy here
We have however broken the daughter I think.
After she got back from the beach, the same day she pitched a fit cause i wouldnt do her homework for her, and i couldn't really help her with it etc etc. So since then shes been going to bed at 6pm (she ranted and called me stupid and un fair, etc i showed her unfair). and it keeps getting continued if she doesnt do her daily chores (so far extended 4 days). Well monday night about 1030 she went into the bathroom and starting puking alot.. after about an hour of this she came out and told us that she had taken 15 asprin and 4 excedrin,cause we were being mean to her and begged us not to send her back to carolina center. We gave no reaction, told her to go to bed cause she had school the next day.
The asprin had expired in 05, and she said she had taken it at like 4pm, so it was long since out of her system.
Tuesday morning comes, and she complains she is still sick etc, and doesnt want to go to school. I tell her that her pain is self inflicted, she isn't sick and shes going to school etc. on the way out the door, she says, you will just be picking me up in an hour or so when i throw up again. I respond that she hasnt eaten anything since she started puking, so there is nothing in her stomach to throw up. She says she will have the school call for us to come get her cause she is sick. I simply let her know that if that happens, we will take her to the doctor and tell him EXACTLY what happened, and HE will commit her to the carolina center. Needless to say she stayed the whole day at school. Came home and went to bed at like 4.30.
Brooke had appts with her shrink and therapist on tuesday and discussed it with them, and both agreed that we did exactly the right thing and they were impressed that we did. They said it means our point about who is in control is getting through to her.
I did laugh at her that night and tell her "bet you wont do this again, you feel like shit dont you"
I wanted to ring her neck and smack her upside the head and call her stupid, but i refrained from that.
