I'm sure it's beautiful. How is the little bun?AppleBiter said:There's plenty of belly here to rub, that's for sure! lol

I remember that feeling. I retained so much water that I was convinced my neck and facial features would never be the same. But they all went back to normal and I'm just as much me as I was before, well ... with an added scar, but who's counting?AppleBiter said:Thank you. It's hard to feel beautiful when you feel like a whale. LOL He's doing good . . . kicking up a storm, these days. Right now, it doesn't hurt, but I know that will change soon enough.

Glad to hear he's doing good. I never minded when the baby was active. It was always really comforting that she moved so much. I had friends whose babies went frighteningly still for long periods of time, and I decided that wasn't for me. The only bad thing was when the lil' Luckster got wedged up under a few of my ribs and I had to be checked out for broken ribs, it hurt so bad. Turned out nothing was broken but they were severely bruised. Pain, tingling, and numbness for the last 4 weeks, but it was worth it. I can't even conjure up the memory of that pain now, so it's all good.
Got a name for the handsome man?

AppleBiter said:Yes -- the water retention is from hell. Ugh. And, I'm glad I have pictoral evidence that I once had non-elephantine legs. LOL
The motion doesn't usually bother me . . . only when he decides to get active just as I decide that I want to go to sleep.Thankfully, that hasn't happened a lot. But, yeah, I'm grateful that he moves around and lets me know that he's okay. I think that if he were still all the time, like your friends' babies, that would have me freaked out. *big nods* You know what he does, though? That little booger won't kick if anyone's touching my stomach to feel him kick. It's like he knows what they're doing and he won't perform. lol
Your ribs -- OMG!-- poor girl! I've heard of babies getting their feet stuck in ribs and, of course, the occasional ow-it-really-hurts-when-they-kick-your-ribs, but I've never heard of a baby actually bruising ribs. Shit. *wince* You must have one strong little girl!
As far as the name goes, we had one picked out for sure. But, THEN he went to work and talked to the girls there (he works w/a lot of moms and moms-to-be) and the moms all told him that they changed their mind when their babies were born, because they didn't "look" like the name they'd chosen. Soooo, we have two backup names, now, just in case. lol But, we're looking at Zaipher, Gideon, and Isaiah.
lucky-E-leven said:How do you pronounc Zaipher? I keep wanting to say Zephyr but am not sure. I really like the last two for sure. Hard when I don't know how the first one would sound.
