Head with a tongue ring?

Okay this sounds a bit odd, and a lot like bragging.

Recently I've given into peer presure and had my tongue pierced. Peer presure being my baby sister and brother teasing me for being the odd ball... no piercings no tattoos.... etc.

Now I have an issue, I give really good head so as far I've been concerned I didn't need a tongue piercing. It's a practiced thing and I've always gone above and beyond to make sure I've done it right. I've been teased about guys willing to give references and so on so I'll brag about it just a bit with confidence.

Now, I have this damn piece of metal in my mouth and I can't imagine it not getting in the way. I've been told that I'll figure it out and usually I'd be okay with that but giving head is the one thing I do know I do well. I don't want to have to relearn all over via experience that would be like being a virgin again and the first time was enough. Any advice would be nice

I too had mine done, and, well, it has not lived up to my fantasies!

Sucking cock has always been one of the things I love, and with a ball of metal in your mouth, it is very hard to do! (No pun intended)

My tongue becomes very sore after a night of BJ'ing and it is also very easy to tear your tongue, even after it has healed....(which takes a VERY long time in the first place.)

I have found that the shorter bars & smaller studs do help, but it is still not the same.

Hope you have better luck than I have had.

Peer pressure

Sucks! (no pun intended) Get rid of the damn thing and be happy with yourself for who you are - never mind the health hazards..
Lecture aside, I understand the plastic ones aren't quite as hard on your mouth as the metal ones, but the previous poster is right - takes a darned long time to heal, and the tearing? (shudder)

I'll admit that I've often fantisized about my wife getting her tongue pierced, and have even joked about buying her a clip on. That said, I love what the babygirl said, be yourself. I understand giving in to pressure, but if you don't like it and it just isn't you, ditch it. Consider it an adventure and a lesson learned and move on.

And by the way, don't worry about bragging, take pride in your technical prowess! Nothing wrong with being good at something. As the old addage goes, you can't mess with perfection, right? :D

what complete crap!

as a body-piercer (who, btw, also has a tongue piercing!), i can tell you unequivocally that 'tearing' your tongue piercing is almost impossible - if you've down-sized to the shorter bar after your initial healing period of 2 weeks.

and if your piercer didn't advise you to do this, then you've gone to a dud.

i've been piercing for many years, and i have NEVER had a client 'tear' their piercing after they've down-sized to the correct jewellery.

oh, and FYI?
tongue piercings heal fully within 2 to 3 weeks.... by far the fastest healing of all body piercings.

Sorry....not mine. I was still in misery with mine for almost 3 weeks, and mine was so swollen I couldnt change to a shorter bar for over a month. And this was after consultation with my piercer on a weekly basis, (for free I may add.)
How many of your clients come back for consultation? Is it free? Or do you give them attitude too? :p

And my tearing was done after mine had 'healed' for almost 2 months!

OH, And....If they heal so quickly, why is it that if you pull out the stud, you cant get it back in after 24 hours....Because the fuckin' hole is HEALED UP!!!!?? :catroar:

Sorry....just MY opinion!

Umm I don't understand the problem with that. What you stated is correct. THe mouth is full of saliva which has immunoglobins and other good enzymes, proteins, and chemicals in it. The mouth heals much quicker than any other part of the body. So yes the reason you can't get it back in is b/c it healed so quick.

Imparting my $.02.

If it heals in only 2 weeks, then why is it that it can still need to heal a year or more later if you take out the stud???? If you get your ears pierced & wear earrings for a year, then take them out, you can still get earrings in after 24 hours. Thats my point.

I was asking for advice on giving a blowjob not starting a debate

Sorry....just MY opinion!

my attitude is a direct result of people like you, who are NOT trained or qualified, spreading stories about how your piercing went wrong, WITHOUT giving all the facts of their piercing, piercer and lack of aftercare.

uuummmm..... as for the quick healing of your tongue? well, it's because your tongue is a muscle!
muscle tissue heals way faster than ordinary skin does.

you should have been put onto anti-inflammatory medication as soon as you got pierced (ibuprofen works well) as well as an anaesthetic/antibiotic mouthwash (cepacaine is recommended).

or, and this is just a guess without actually seeing your tongue, the placement was incorrect causing you more than usual pain. (i'd hazard and say you were maybe pierced too far back, or at too great an angle. remember, this is a guess only. but if you 'tear'' after two months, when your tongue should have been well and trully healed, that tells me right away that your placement was incorrect.)

oh, and FYI?
i am the best fucking piercer in my state, as evidenced by the fact that i am the ONLY piercer endorsed by the state health department, the sexual health association, and the HIV/Hepatitis council.
i am also the only piercer who gives free aftercare for the lifetime of my clients.

don't trash me until you know all the facts - including the possibility that your piercer made an error.
it happens all the time to those less experienced.

apologies for the hijack - but it makes me angry when piercee's think they know it all because it happened to them (so it MUST be the only truth!), when in fact it's the piercer who has the facts.

pm me if you want tips for BJ's - i won't put them here for the ignorant to have benefits by.

I was not trashing you or anyone else, just defending my story. I agree 100% that there are a lot of fuck ups when it comes to piercings & also tattoos. And I dont doubt that mine may have been one of them...most things in my life are. I apologize if it sounded as though I was trashing you or your profession, it was not intended.

I was given all the instructions you mentioned, and followed them completely, and thinking my piercing was 'healed' after a month, I gave a BJ & succeeded in ripping my tongue & having to wait another 2 months for it to heal again. My tongue stud did set back farther on my tongue (as far back as possible on the underneath), it is now (after the tearing) about half way down (on the underneath) of my tongue. Hope that makes sense.

Again, i apologize for any undue stress this may have caused anyone.

And I need no tips for BJ's ....I do fine on my own.

Gabbycat, I looked through the thread twice, and I'm wanting to know how long you've had it pierced. If you're not healed yet, and it hasn't been 4 weeks, I wouldn't do anything due to the possibly of infection. Although, I wont lie, I did it after 3 weeks. I was quite surprised with myself. After the first bobbing or three (ahem) you'll learn to work either around it or with it. It's hard to explain. If you're still tender, and really insist on giving head, I would make sure to keep your tongue flat against his cock, and glide up and down. Go easy and test yourself. Your partner should understand. Don't do so much licking or teasing around the tip - that sort of thing. It will irritate the hell out of it. You learned over time and practice how to give head, it's the same with a tongue ring in. You'll do fine. Just don't dwell on it.

edit: Not only did I use the mouthwash, but I also sucked on ice for a week. I never got swollen, and it never tore. I haven't heard that happen before, Pooh. Maybe it just felt like it did? Did you bleed? If so, the person who peirced it probably didn't do it right. That must have sucked!

I got pierced on Sunday and yeah I've already broken almost all of the rules. I hate sucking on Ice and I can't do a soft food diet. The piercing is further back than anyone's I personally know and it seems to truly get in the way of everything else. I already own a set of god given fangs that I had to learn to work around, it just seems that this thing is impossible. LOL

Aww, you should've started the ice immediately. I don't think it's too late though. I would really recommend it. And shame on you for breaking the rules? LOL! You've got to be careful! I remember having a set of fangs on me many years ago, but had them filed down. You might want to ask the dentist about this. You can make up a lie, and say they're cutting your tongue. Ha! I don't recommend going now, though. I'll never forget my first visit to the dentist. What a bitch! So you have that to look forward to as well. ;)

If it's too much trouble for you, just take the damn thing out. To hell what others say. What makes YOU happy is much more important!

I wish I had followed that advice, but the flip-side of it! I had mine done twice (both with NO problems, healed in 3 days) and I was happy with it in. I should have said "to hell with what others say" and left it in! :p I had it pierced for no other reason than it was my choice, my tongue, my kink. I guess I'll have to look for less obvious places for piercings.. ;)

Sorry....just MY opinion!

I have had my tongue pierced for over a year...my tongue was healed within a week and I was wearing the smaller bar. I am betting that you are the exception - because I have several friends who have/had their tongues pierced, and healing within one week is normal.

That story about not being able to put the tongue stud in after 24 hours is false. At least in my case, and my friend's case. I work at a corporate office, so I don't wear the tongue stud during the week. On weekends, however, after 5 DAYS of not wearing the stud, I can still slide it in with no problems whatsoever.

Having said that, I haven't given my boyfriend head with the tongue stud in yet....just because I want to get used to doing it without it first...if that makes sense....besides, he's anxious to try it out, so I'm waiting and saving it for Sweetest Day, as a surprise for him....;)

It will take you a while to get used to having it in your mouth. I remember when I first had mine done, it felt really weird to me whenever I ate, and I talked with a lisp for a while until my mouth and tongue became more accomodated to the stud being there. Now when I wear it, I hardly notice it's there. Just give it some time. During the healing process, I didn't stick to a completely soft food diet....but I did eat a lot of applesauce and yogurt, and I sucked on popsicles since I didn't want to suck ice. Just follow the directions your piercer gave you and you should be fine. I don't know that I would be giving a blowjob with it so soon after being pierced, however.

My wife had one when we met and the idea of it turned me on. Well like someone else said the reality of it was that it sucked. She got removed it a couple of months ago and I can honestly say I don't miss the damn thing one little bit.

Real

well by your postings about tearing your tongue you really do need to discover the better way to give blow jobs.
there is only a few reason it would happen your technique or a bad piercing.

;)

Just my own opinion but I think they are silly bordering on stupid looking.
No...they are stupid looking and make people talk funny!
Take it out and leave it out...

Now go suck your man and use your God given talents :)

My girlfriend used to have a tounge ring and I thought it was an absolute pain.

The fact is that when you're getting head you don't want something hard and metallic poking around your sensitive bits. It was irritating when kissing as well.

I'm not against piercings...I have some and I'm planning a bunch more, but despite the fact that I want to get a few put through my lip, I'm not going to because it will fuck up my oral sex technique.
