Heartbeat Institute for The Evolutionally Advanced || IC

Matt rose suddenly.

'I agree with you guys,' He said to Hell and the warden, 'And I'm going with you...Don't speak, let me finish...Like you said, Annihilation needs to stay here, cos at least one member of the trio needs to be here to help guard Stroke and Heartbeat, okay you're leaving John, in charge, but most of the students and to be honest teachers, won't respect that because he's not like them. No offense John.'

'And if they are getting an army together, i don't care how strong you are, by the time you get through them, Victoir and Veleera will have vanished off with Illyeria. You may not want to admit it, but you guys need help, and you can say that I need a normal life, but three things...a) I'm evolutionary advanced, which disrupts most of normality, b) Whether i want to admit it or not, Artic Haze and Jordan were my friends and they just died, c) I have nothing to go back to...Pulse is my Life.'

'And this is the kind of thing you created Pulse for. Especially more so with your being pregnant, you two could easily on a weird offchance get distracted by caring for each other, so you need someone to try and keep you focused as well. Hell, you just said that Pregnancy clouds your judgement'

'Not to mention, I'm your friend, and even if you say no, I can guarantee that at least three of the people here will follow you regardlessly. Oh and if it comes to putting a chain on me, to stop me from using my powers, then i'll quit, remember, I'm here voluntarily, i had no parents to speak about the matter. and what will you do then? Put me in Stroke for wanting to help my friends?'

It was a bold move, but it was also one I had to make. I just hoped they'd listen to reason.

I smiled and gave Matt a brief hug.

"Here I thought you'd agree with your...comrade over here." I said looking at Mack. I was still pretty pissed at him.

"Come on Mack is right." I say sarcastically. "You shouldn't fight with us. Ignoring what Mack said. I feel that I can't lose anymore of you guys. Plus Brenden can't die, Illeriya is probably already dead and I can't die either."

"Annihilation will stay. John has the respect he needs. Leandra and the others. Plus John...John is one of the only people that understands me and Brenden fully." I shoot Mack another look. I wasn't really happy with him.

"If I may interject..." Leandra said quietly. "I want to fight too."

xx Brenden xx

"Do you see what we mean Mack. What do you want us to do to these kids. Lock em up. We're not their parents. And you definitely aren't either. This is our school. We'll do as we please."

"It's our decision. If you don't like it then leave. We arrested you and gave you parole instead of locking you up forever. Instead you repay us with trying to knock down our leaders." It was one of our younger pulse members. Melancholy.

xx John xx

"Taking over this school would be my honor, but it's only temporary." I remarked with a soft smile.

So much for falling in love with Hell. I was stuck seeing her raise two kids with the guy I hated the most.

There was a sudden slam off a door. I turned with the others to see that a flood of students were coming in.

"That's not fair Hell if Pulse gets to fight why can't we?!" It was one of the senior girls. Melissa Swift. Code name stardust.

xx Hell xx

"I can't risk you're lives kids. Plus Mack over here has already turned me into a villain for killing off villains and risking the lives of students."

"We lost Jordan...." Maria, Melanie and Mariska were staring at me. The three muses. They were sophomores. "He was all we had left. You have to let us fight."

I looked at Mack with a stern look. "Don't ever judge me again. These are my kids. They are my family. Don't try and carp your way into our veins. I can't stop these kids Mack and if you try to well you'll deal with a very angry student body."

"No Freshmans..." I turn to the crowd.

"Why not Hell?" I turn to see Sessaly the newest member of the group.

"We need you freshmans to carry on our legacy. You'll be the next pulse."

She smiled. "All of you have to check with Skeltra. Anyone with a sickness or not in fit shape. You'll have to stay here. That's it go."

The students seemed happy with that and they left the auditorium.

"Matt... thank you. Do me a favor. Tell Skeltra I want her and her staff of healers to come. Also have her find students in the school that are healers. They'll be able to help us lessen the casualties. Send has many as you can into the simulation for training. Don't overdo it." I release his shoulder and turn to Mack.

"I have nothing further to say to you. If countess comes anywhere near my students I won't give a second thought to throwing her in Stroke. That is what I do to most villains." I walk away from him in a huff.

Leandra and the others are quickly working to make new uniforms. You had to love duplicators.

"Thank you Lee."

"Anything for you Hell. You've always been like a mom to me." I smile and give her a hug. She was just another orphan when I first met her.

"Please drop the glaring it will leave a mark" I tell Hell

"Do you see what we mean Mack. What do you want us to do to these kids. Lock em up. We're not their parents. And you definitely aren't either. This is our school. We'll do as we please."

"and..." I was interrupted by a girl

"It's our decision. If you don't like it then leave. We arrested you and gave you parole instead of locking you up forever. Instead you repay us with trying to knock down our leaders."

"Trying to know down your leaders?... I was only talking to John and Leandra, and then my opinions got plastered everywhere as if I was trying a political coupe."

"I can't risk you're lives kids. Plus Mack over here has already turned me into a villain for killing off villains and risking the lives of students."

"I'm not turning you into a villain... I just said that I think there has to be another way... when did I say that you were risking students?"

"Don't ever judge me again. These are my kids. They are my family. Don't try and carp your way into our veins. I can't stop these kids Mack and if you try to well you'll deal with a very angry student body."

"I'm not interested in stopping them, I just want that if they fight they do it for a reason different than violence and death... might for right... not might is right" I was talking to a brickwall noone was even listening to me, yet I kept talking

"I have nothing further to say to you. If countess comes anywhere near my students I won't give a second thought to throwing her in Stroke. That is what I do to most villains."

I don't even bother to answer her, she wasn't going to listen to me... was I really listening to her.

I walk to John... "Excuse me, I know it isn't the time to distract you, and that you think I'm a backstabbing traitor... but is there some sort of psychology place here" I point to countess still crying in the ground "I think she may try to kill herself if left alone."

"And you're putting her on my shoulders. I'm a human remember. No powers." I say with a shrug. I could really use a drink.

"Look you can't throw her on someone else. She came here for you. You try to hand her off to someone and believe me they'll throw her in Stroke in record time. Anyways. We don't do it for violence. You really need to do your history on this school buddy. I don't think many people are happy with you right now." I walked away deciding to help Leandra with the uniforms.

Matt nodded, slightly taken aback, he had being expecting Hell to yell at him.

Then the others had agreed.

I listened to the task i was given. 'I'll go warn her, and i'll get those coming with in the sim as well to train so they can learn to work as a team.'

I walk off, and before i know it i'm in the presence of Dorden and Skeltra.

'Skeltra, I need your medical staff, at least those that are willing to help, down in the Sim room, Dorden, that includes you.Skeltra, could you also stay in the infirmary for now,Students, who want to help will be on their way. They can only join us if they're fit enough, and i guess you'll be having a lot come through in a bit, No freshman's though.'

I nod and walk off in the direction of the Sim room, Dorden Close behind.

'Whats going on?' She asked.

'We're saving a young girls life'

"And you're putting her on my shoulders. I'm a human remember. No powers."

"The energy is what she drains, you are more dangerous to her than most here, if she chose to fight"

"Look you can't throw her on someone else. She came here for you. You try to hand her off to someone and believe me they'll throw her in Stroke in record time. Anyways. We don't do it for violence. You really need to do your history on this school buddy. I don't think many people are happy with you right now."

"I won't throw her on someone else, but she needs special help... don't worry about it.

Maybe I need the history, I don't question your motives, I question some of your ways.

And as for people being happy with me, I rarely have many fans... but the crowd always forgives me in the end"

(OOC: if someone got the joke in the last line, PM me cause you deserve a prize)

I let John go away, and go pick up the broken countess to lead her to my room

"So what's our plan Victoir?" Veleera said in her naturally hissing voice.

She had the child cradles in her arms.

"Last I checked one of their own was already stirring up the emotions in Hell. So most likely they'll come alone. We'll force the entire army on them. During that time we'll find out their weaknesses and then using the child as a distraction we'll take them down. Then she's all yours Veleera." I brought her lips to mine careful not to wake the sleeping child.

"An eye for eye." Veleera replied.

"Tsk, Tsk. Now, Now Veleera you cannot blame Helen for the loss of your child." I said running my hand through her hair.

"But I can blame her for letting him break my heart. Illeriya should be my child." I cringed in disgust.

Veleera had always been in love with that fool. Brenden. I was glad Hell took him away. I was glad that Veleera was crushed, because in the end who was there to pick her up. To show her that he was the better man. I was.

xx Illeriya xx
Just because I'm kid everyone underestimates me. I was born from two heroes one condemned and the other plagued to live without those of his kind. I listened to Victoir and Veleera pretending to be asleep. I'd show them the day of the battle. Veleera would fall under my hand.

xx John xx
"God I feel horrible.." I said stacking the uniforms. There were more than five-hundred by now.

"Why John?" Leandra said softly as she continued duplicating uniforms.

"Oh...no... I meant I had a stomachache..." I managed to lie.

Leandra made and O shape with her mouth and I turned away from her. I should have told Hell. I should have told Brenden.

You will not tell anyone!!! A voice in my head was hissing. Annihilation. Only her and I knew. Well I knew she could actually speak english and the other thing. I wanted to ask her. Why couldn't I tell Hell and Brenden. Their little girl hadn't even reached puberty and she was showing powers. Powers that could be stronger once she was older.

xx Annihilation xx
Fool. John was always a softy. I stared at the few prisoners left in the prison. More than half of the prison agreed to fight against Victoir and Veleera for a chance at a new life. I of course scanned each of their minds to make sure they were psychologically fit and not lying. I sent them to the school sending Hell a mental portrait. Some things did not need to be revealed to her yet. I was now stuck playing poker with some of the inmates. Which wasn't bad considering some had things to bet.

xx Warden Cross - Crosswind xx
Passing out is one thing. Waking up inside of a coffee shop is another. I raised my head off the table slowly ignoring the pains and aches. I noticed Hell sitting in front of me drinking what looked like juice?

"Caffeine is bad for the baby..." She said softly.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I said in a light tone making sure that I didn't sound angry.

"I really didn't think I was pregnant. I thought I was being delusional. It made me feel silly because I didn't remember sleeping with anyone in the past three months. Then I remembered.."

"Yeah... I know what your talking about. Please don't remind me. I wake up in the middle of a hotel room and everything is broken. That is the last time both of us get drunk okay? At least at the same time...." I chuckled.

"It wasn't till I started throwing up and stuff I started to realize that I was pregnant. After being a mother once you already know. So I went to Skeltra to get a few pregnancy tests. I told her it was for a student. I ran into gill when I was leaving and he bumped into me so I dropped all the tests. When he gave em back I almost dropped one but he caught it right against my stomach." She was continuing to talk.

"That's when he told you it was a boy..." I replied before she could finish.

Hell nodded with a soft smile taking a sip of what I realized was orange juice.

"So have you decided a name for the little guy?" I was staring at the table now.

She lifted my head so that I could see her eyes. "Sebastian Brenden Cross."

I smiled. "You sure you want your kid to have my last name."

"Our kid deserves to have a full time father." She said with a smile. "I don't want to make the same mistake I did with Illeriya. I love you Brenden."

xx Helen xx
Four years ago I said otherwise. I said I hated him and I didn't want anything to do with him. Now I knew that I loved him regardless. I didn't care anymore. I didn't care that he was a little stupid sometimes. I didn't even care that he was a brute most of the time. What I cared about is the Brenden I always saw.

I pressed my lips against his for a brief moment.

"Well we should go start prepping students." I say standing up and walk back to the school with Brenden close behind.

Raiden woke up with a start as a silent shadow sneaked into his room. He kept one eye open and pretended to be asleep, and continued to watch the shape as it walked across the room. The shape was only small, but appearances could be deceiving. It seemed to sniff the air for a second and then started to walk towards the bed he lay on.

Before he knew it, the shape had jumped onto him and was clawing at his stomach. He was about to jump up and attack it, when it started purring.

He realized that it was a small black and white cat and that it was not a danger to him, it slowly curled up and seemed to start dozing on him. He put one hand down and started stroking it and it raised its head to look up at him, and to rub against him as if demanding that he stroke it more. He laughed and then watched it again relax and lay back down comfortably.

He was just about to start thinking about yesterdays events when a young girl ran into his room and told him that a lot of the students were preparing to leave with Hell and Crosswind and if he wanted to go he had to get ready, then she left.

At least he would be able to hide at this school much better without Hell or Crosswind to deal with. Nonetheless he still had to hurry and find his sister.

He stroked the cat for a few more minutes and then lowered it down. It stayed in the room as he got dressed and then followed him down the corridor. He wondered where exactly he would go and then decided to just hope he got lucky and meet someone who would help.

Brenden had refused to let me do any heaving lifting. I had to remind him that I could manage, but he was being a stupid husband figure again. I rolled my eyes. I knew I was going to regret what I had admitted in the Coffee shop. Instead I went walking to check on the students that were staying. I walked through the dorm halls to make sure no villain had escaped into the rooms. When you're looking for a villain you get something totally different. I noticed someone walking the opposite way. I ran down and caught up with him and put my arm around his shoulder.

"Hi I'm Helen Ting. Heartbeat Headmistress. What can I do for you?" I say with a sincere grin.

I hated trespassers, but something told me somebody brought him here by accident. Dumb ass guards.

Aww, shit, some things just weren't meant to be.

"Uh, hi, I'm Raiden, I was kinda looking to come here to develop my skills as a...you know...evolutionally advanced...but some crazy sentinel thing dragged me into the auditorium before I could do anything...and then the people started attacking, so I couldn't leave...Sorry."

Damn, he just had to stay calm, not let himself slip. He tried to think of unrelated things. He started playing poker in his head, to try to put up a mental shield. His father had told him she had mental powers...

xx Hell xx
I stared at him blankly. His emotions were going wild. Well at least up until he tried to calm them. I hated empathy. When you're pregnant. The empathy gets so much worse.

"Look I know who you are..." I give him a sarcastic smile. "And I know how you got here. Those aren't my sentinels. They're my..uhhh... kind of husband's."

"Anyways you're sisters here. You could have just asked. I figured you'd come here after we arrested your father we took your sister in. We saved her life, so to speak. We have somewhat of a witness protection program here. Half of these kids have new names, new identities. To keep them safe from any villain. The downfall. No family can find them."

I took him for a walk with me. "You're sister is one of our staff healers. Her name is Alex Dordon. Last I checked she's still in the infirmiry. At least I hope she is. I do background checks on everyone in this school. That's how I found you buddy." I shake him sarcastically as if I'm joyed to see him.

"Okay well I'll take you to my office and we can page Dordon. That way you're little reunion can be private. Plus I left my granola bar on my desk and this baby is driving me nuts with these cravings." I smiled with a huff and dragged him to my office.

I pressed the intercom button. "Alex Dordon please report to my office. Alex Dordon."

"Typical that you'd already know who I am. Alright, I won't hide anything. I'm here to take my sister to our home. I can protect her just fine, if my father comes near us, I'll kill him myself.
I'm not some innocent teenager who can't control their powers. I've had to practice for years to defend myself from my father and his men."

Dordon, huh? This would be fun.

"And please, don't act as if you're a nice person, I know who you are and I know what you're like, you don't need to hide behind a mask for me."

He followed her into her office and stood up in a corner, leaning against a wall and looking out the windows, waiting for his sister to arrive.

I stopped the simulation, 'Okay, go have a break, I want you guys back here in 5 hours though ok!'

As they left, I shook my head and groaned, This was the fifth sim i had run today and despite my not wanting to, i was getting tired.

I saw Dorden in the crowd leaving and made my way towards her, with everything that was happening I couldn't leave things the way they were, especially as I am in love with her.

I open my mouth to call her name, when Hell's voice comes over the tannoy and beats me to it.

~~~~~DORDEN~~~~~
As I heard my name called, I groaned and made my way to Hell's office. Skeltra had wanted me to head back to the infirmary straight after because she wanted to do a sim, and i was supposed to cover.
But oh well.
Sighing, I reached Hell's door and knocked gently.
"Oh well sorry for trying to be respectful. It's up to her if she wants to go home or not. You have no choice if she doesn't want to." I stepped towards the door and opened it up holding my hand up for Dordon to wait.
I had a feeling Mack might have had something to do with this kid.
"So what you're married to me now? Are you satan the guy I was sold to when my parents didn't want me to die? You don't know anything about me. Dordon, over here can say whatever she'd like. Because I've known her for most of her life and like the other students here at heartbeat. She's part of my family." I turned to face her.
She was one of the people I actually liked. Some of the people who didn't outcast people like us. At least she was part of my family.
"Dordon. This is your brother he wants to take you home." I say plainly.
I wasn't going to let my temper get ahead of me. I had come across people like him all the time. The people who assumed others intentions. Him and Mack were on the same dead end deal. They assumed we were bad. That we destroyed lives for the fun of it. We never did it for vengeance. Our powers weren't meant to promote violence nor promote killing. Therefore that's how we saw it. This war was going to take prisoners not victims.
"Dordon it's your decision. You can stay with us or go with him." I ran my hand over my stomach and searched my desk for a snack. I found a small box of cookies and opened it up.
"Cookies?" I say opening the box on my desk. I at least wanted to make the moment less tense. I nibbled on one satisfying the craving for sugar, but now all I wanted was chocolate.
"Dordon promise me when you get married....that you don't get pregnant. These cravings are evil..." I thought about Matt for a moment and smiled. The emotions went wild whenever she was around him. I wondered if she felt the same.
~~~~DORDEN~~~~

My Brother?

I take one of the cookies and smile aimlessly as she mentions marriage. For a second my mind flows to Matt, but then I stop as I remember why i am here.

I look at my brother.

'Say whatever it is you want to say, I'm busy.'

"I don't care what you think you are. Just because you're trying to make up for it now, it doesn't mean that your past deeds can merely be erased."

He turned to look as his long lost sister walked in, seemingly dazed and confused. What were they doing to her here? She looked exhausted.

He walked over and picked up a cookie. "Thanks." Well. He'd better start convincing her...

"So, your name's Alex, huh? Well...I'm your half-brother, Raiden. We have different fathers. Listen, you saw what just happened here. All the dead and injured, do you really think that these people can protect you properly? If you come with me, I promise that you'll be safe."

He honestly meant it. He didn't want anyone else he knew to be murdered or killed...He had had enough of that for a few lifetimes.

"Please, even if you don't decide now, will you at least think about it? I'm sure you have feelings for this place, but surely your life is worth more than those feelings?"

~~~~Dorden~~~~
She looked at him simply.
'No'
'No, You may be my half brother, but that doesn't mean you can walk into my life like this. These people can protect me fine, and anyway, I don't need protecting and I came here through my own free will.'
She thought of Matt suddenly, then rid her mind of him.
'No matter what you say, for now I am staying here, and if you truly mean what you say, then i suggest you stay here as well and get to know me before you make any such descisions again, Okay.'
xx Hell xx
I stood up and put my hand on her shoulder.
"I can feel a lot of anguish and pain and I don't think it's my baby. Check with the infirmiry or go with the sim students and go ahead and do your job. I'm glad that you came here and you are always welcome no matter what."
I gave her a hug and released her. I don't know what was with me, but it seemed as though my emotions were running and hugs were my only option. I sat back down as Brenden entered the room.
xx Brenden xx
"What is it Brenden..." I shook my head at her question.
"Nothing. John has received word from our scouts. We have two more days until Victoir and Veleera get here." I handed her the grilled chicken salad I got downstairs.
She grinned at me. It made my heart stop.
"Dorden I just gave commands for the last simulation. I was sure our pulse team was starting to get a little weary and we have two days prep. So I want to make sure everyone gets good rest. Matt should be finishing up now and their might be some kids with knicks and gashes. So we're going to need you down their. After that feel free to do whatever you'd like. Just make sure you get some rest."
Hell nodded. "I don't know what we'd do without you Dorden. I mean Skeltra's powers are amazing, but you save most of our students from blood problems Skeltra can't. Speaking of which."
Hell was sifting through her desk and I knew what she was doing. She popped up with two tickets.
"Look tomorrow we won't start sims until late afternoon. So maybe you and a friend could go to the movies. I know you kids don't have much of a chance to because of school and work, but tomorrow classes are cancelled and Skeltra is giving her staff a break." I took the tickets from Hell and handed them to Dorden.
"Just have fun Alex." I said patting her on the shoulder though I had to keep myself in check. I didn't want to send her flying into a wall.
*sigh* He knew it would never be that easy, but at least he'd tried warning his sister. She really didn't know what it was she was getting into. He supposed he'd just have to follow her around like her bodyguard, he had no other option.
He waited until Crosswind, or Brenden as she seemed to be calling him, left the room with his sister and then he walked up to the desk to talk to Hell.
"Listen, I know this may be a difficult time for you. But what I say next is important. You think you have my father in your little jail, well you don't. You have his clone, my real father is still out there, and he will be coming after my sister and I. If my sister comes under any harm here whilst in your care, I swear that as soon as you have that baby, I will kill you myself."
He took a seconds break and then continued.
"If I am to be staying here, I will co-operate with you in so far as is needed. I do not consider myself one of your students. Also, my father has been known to work with Victoir, he may come himself in person, if that is the case, I will fight him and make sure he dies. I would also like permission to train with Annihilation."
He stood by her desk waiting for her answer.
xx Brenden xx
I was about to leave the room, but the other kid stayed around. I stepped back into the door leaning against the door frame listening to what he said. I wasn't going to do anything. Nothing really got me too pissed of anymore, but I had to make sure hell didn't go crazy. I nearly wanted to shut this kid up. He really didn't know who he was dealing with...
"You might want to watch your..." I was a little too late.
Hell did that weird acrobat thing and jumped from her desk to behind the kid and in a second she pinned him to the desk head first. She held him his chest tight against the desk. What do you expect from a pregnant immortal. She had so many years to work on her impatience, but the millenias of Assholes like this kid made it worse for her.
"No you listen..." She hissed. "Fuck difficult times. It was your sister choice to stay. Stop acting like you actually care."
I had to pull her back off of him. "Do you think you're any better than your father kid?"
"No don't ask him that question. I already know the answer. He isn't. Because he kills whoever ruins his life. Just like his father. He killed your mother because you were born. He killed her because she killed the one person that ever meant anything to him."
Hell paused and I wanted to get her to shut up. It wasn't like the kid could kill Hell anyway. She was bound to the Earth for eternity and her body was impenetrable. The only thing that could kill her is annihilation or Victoir. Her equals.
"Your father said that same sentence. Once you have that baby I'll kill you myself. Then he killed her." I pulled her arms tight against mine. I could have sworn I heard the bone snap.
"No permission denied. Annihilation just gave me a clear no. You threatened her new nephew and you threatened me. Plus she has duties at Stroke to do." Hell's heartrate was back to normal and I let her go, but I kept her by my side.
"Alex is one of our best. She's not fighting. We made sure of that. She'll be working with the ill. Nobody in this school has died. The pulse team has made sure of that. Because of our strict protection. We lost three of our pulse. My brother was one of them. You don't see me wreaking revenge. We're here to stop the two people that have taken so many lives. You're just another person blind with revenge. I don't care what you do with your father. Just don't involve my kids..." Hell walked out of the room and I paused to look at him.
"She's not talking about Illeriya or the unborn. She's talking about this entire school....Don't mess with Annihilation. Anakura will most likely eat you alive..." I walked off making sure that was clear. Nobody ever got that and most kids always got tossed back her after pissing off Ana.
Raiden ran out after Crosswind and put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Wait. I know you and Hell think that I'm an asshole, but I'm not. I just want to protect my sister, same as you want to protect your students. Hell thinks she's suffered more than anyone else, but she's wrong. When my father killed my mother, my uncle saved my life and took me with him to a remote village in the mountains of China. My father...he followed us....one day I woke up and all I could hear was screaming...I looked outside...and...the whole village was ablaze...there were dead bodies everywhere, women and children, he sought them out and brutally killed them, even if they stayed out of his way.....my uncle's wife and two children were in the house with me, I saw as my father speared a chair leg through my uncles stomach and then sliced his head off with his powers...He then made my uncle's wife implode, splattering me and her children with her blood...and then he.....he made the children face each other and ripped their limbs off...one by one...and then killed them. He looked me in the eyes and said 'Run now, boy, before I kill you too.' and I did. I ran for my life, I ran for a whole year, I didn't even have a chance to mourn their deaths...That was when I swore that I would make myself stronger and I would one day avenge their deaths...When I heard about my sister...I just wanted to see her and make sure she was okay, I didn't want her to go through what I had to. I don't want your pity or your sympathy, I just want you to understand my reasons. I don't want revenge, I just want peace for the dead, and for my sister and me."
He was on the verge of breaking down as the grief washed over him and he relived the moment again in his head. Why couldn't people just understand?
"I don't care whether you people like me or not, just let me get on with my business without judging me."
xx Brenden - Crosswind xx
"Don't try and say we need to stop judging you. Because from the very moment we stepped into action. You and several other people have judged us. We're not judging you kid. We're just sick and tired of everyone being so god damn hypocritical. We're not going to lie and say we aren't either, but you know what. Someone's just going to step up and say something about that too." Hell put a hand on my shoulder.
"It's not worth it Brenden. No one will understand." She was in a way right.
I looked at him and sighed. "You think we don't know that. I've lived since the days of Egypt. I mean the very beginning of that civilization. Hell is Roman, but she Fled to Greece after her parents sold her soul to Satan. We've learned everything there is to know about these students. We've seen what they saw. I served in more than fifteen wars including the World Wars and Hell has been in more wars and tragedies than I can count."
If he was saying we didn't understand. These kids knew nothing about us. They thought we were just stuck up teens? Hell may have looked like a twenty year old, but she was more than a good two thousand. I on the other hand lost count after four millennias give or take.
"Brenden..." Hell said in a firm voice.
"All I'm saying is. You kids have no idea. We're bound to this life forever. I can't even chose to commit suicide. Hell can't either. We only decided to live because we have a daughter and because kids like Leandra..need us." I shook my head.
There was no way somebody at their age could understand the thousands of years we went through. Watching our home civilizations turn into dust in a museum. Hell had already left. She was probably extremely pissed. She hated it when we wasted our breath on explaining ourselves. It was the very reason Victoir became a villain. Because he was sick and tired of everyone being this way.
~~~Alex Dorden~~~

I watched as the conversation between the trio unfold.

'Thanks' I smile at the two teachers, To my Brother, I simply grab his shoulder and drag him away.

'You're coming with me and we are going to talk...'

~~~Matt -- Iron Hound~~~
As Matt slept in the simulation room, he began to remember.
He was in london, and the rain was falling gently, he looked up as his father approached.
'Matt, I need to tell you something' His father had said, 'I'm not your real father, I am simply a stupid policeman who found an abandoned baby and decided to raise him as his own...'
Matt went to reply...
....And woke up, back in the Empty sim room..
Sighing, He typed a program into the simulation and was brought into the middle of the outside fight earlier on...
Weary and tired, He began to attack and fight the simulated horde from earlier on...
What had he expected? For them to accept him the way he was? He had revealed one of his deepest emotional times and they had showed no compassion, merely complained about how bad immortality was. Well, he was sick of it. He had tried, and now he wouldn't bother again. What good was opening up if you were just going to get it thrown back in your face?
Here he was, listening to legendary immortal superheroes, acting like five year olds. So they thought that because they had lived thousands of years longer than everyone else that made them better than normal people and gave them the right to not have to deal with criticism? They needed to grow up and stop moaning about how a few people saw them.
He heard his sister ask to talk to him and so followed her.
