Nonetheless my biggest issue with Hegseth is his character, and his idea of an all-white, all-male army. The guy is scum, basically- a hardcore racist and misogynist. I would have less of a problem with a guy using tough guy talk- heck, it IS the military and no, we certainly don't want the military to be a bunch of softies.

Hegseth's books are wheezy 200+ page treatises on the MAGA military "philosopy": The only way to "cleanup" perceived inadequacies in the military is to return to a segregated army of single white males (he does, however, acknowledge the need for colored troop battalions, presumably to do what the elderly felon clumsily refers to as "the black jobs").

Like our illustrious 'medically discharged mixed race infantryman' here, Hegseth seems to believe that the soldier who can do the most pushups "wins".

The military doesn't have the recruiting numbers to refuse any race. That's why it finally dropped the DEI nonsense. Military service became less attractive to white men, who are still the majority of the male population. Sex is temporarily less of an issue for some positions: drone pilot, tech, etc., but those will be fading out as fossil fuels become scarcer and soldiering returns to basic grunt work.

Right, a response that revolves around 'feel good' bull shit and ignores reality.

The troops on the sharp end of the spear that are killed in the greatest numbers are young, white, males. These are the people that volunteer for the sharp end jobs, mostly infantry. And they aren't volunteering anymore, they want nothing to do with a DEI military. Their fathers and grandfathers, men who served proudly, are telling them to stay away.

I'm not interested in a politically correct, "woke", military. I want a military that is the most efficient in the world at killing people and breaking things. Get rid of the DEI programs, get rid of the DEI generals, and get to work building warriors.
