Hi All. A newbie here. I stumbled onto this site and have been lurking for the few weeks. I had some trouble registering, but the new format seems to have solved the problem. I don’t have any stories to share yet, but plan to remedy that soon, as well as join in this beautiful continuing conversation. So many talented people here, so little time. I’ll be around.
And let me leave you with this for the nonce: I watched the gender wars of the last gasp of the 20th century, with so many of its combatants using names like womym, wimmin, gurlz, grrrls. The nadir was woperson. But here I find women referring to themselves and each other as girls. How delightful, uplifting even. Cuz there ain’t nothin’ better in the whole wide world than girls. Girls are living, breathing proof that there is a god after all. Girls are the greatest. Hello, girls.
Oh, and, uh, hello to the guys, too.
