My local ads to the Women4Women section of Craigslist yielded guys. VERY annoying.

Hm.. must be a northeastern thing then. Usually women around my region don't bother making small talk. In fact, if you so much as say hi to them they look at you like you're crazy. So when they come up to a person in a grocery store and start acting friendly and mentioned if they're single, have kids, and what they do for a living you can be certain it's because they're trying to pick you up

You're right...I'm taking the difficult road on this one. I've had my first experience and it served to define exactly what I'm looking for. I DO want to share this with my husband in the future, but I don't think it has to be an every time kind of thing. We have talked about our feelings and boundaries at length, and he supports me in having a close female friend with benefits as long as I don't leave him for another woman. I share everything I do with him. He also has veto power at any time... if he shows any discomfort, I'm done. My marriage is my primary relationship and concern, so it IS a commited relationship. It's going to take a lot of work and communication, but neither of us feels it's right to deny or supress your sexuality. I'm a better person and wife because I'm having some of my needs (extra affection, talking about girly things, etc.) fulfilled by women. He likes that. I can't say how I'd feel if the situation was reversed, but I know I love him enough to support him in doing what he needs to.
