Helping a Co-worker (female needed)

Jenny was a decent person who deserved better. She did far more work at the firm then she got credit for, as was evident after her third week on disability. A routine check-up, had led to surgery on her left leg, which made her wheelchair-bound. Jeff had been a casual friend, but kept his distance. That changed when Jenny broke-up with her boyfriend.
Her Apartment was on the first floor, but still she needed to be driven everywhere and someone needed to pick-up the groceries. He tried to stop twice a week. But as she became slightly more mobil, he stopped more often.
He was 30 years old and still had a knack for finding special situations that others had overlooked.

Jenny was a college grad who had worked hard all her life. She had been promoted at work because she was able to get things done, but the other women thought of her as "cold and strict."
Thus there was only a smattering of concern for her absence, as the backlog began to lengthen. Jeff, made it a point to remain neutral at work and never let on that he had visited her. That would only start the rumor-mill.

It was Friday afternoon, so he checked out early, carefully grabbing Jenny's mail without being seen.

She lived 5 miles from the office, all on surface streets. When he arrived in the parking lot he took the space next to her car, carried her mail to the door and knocked lightly as he walked in. There was no need in having her come to the door, which was only locked at night.

"Jenny...it's Friday...end of the week!"

Jenny was seated on the couch and smiled as Jeff brought in her mail. It was clear she was happy to have someone to talk with.
