Tarence had fell asleep and was out for the night. Stephen had just gotten decided to check the house one more time.

As he walked down the main bedroom hallway.

 

[Asa]

Chai had slipped from the room making her way back to her room.

YOU... Embers guard... come here...


She softly call out as she saw him walking along. She pulled her torn dress tight around her as she watched him.

Stephen headed over to Chai as she had stopped next to his room door.

"Is everything ok miss?"

Stephen seemed concerned with the look in his eyes.

 

[Asa]

I do not know how you would do this but find out about an employee of ours named Gabriel... thank you

With that she hurried to her room.

It had only took Stephen 20 minutes to find out about Gabriel after speaking with a maid in the kitchen.

He heard that Gabriel had attacked Chai but had been working on the grounds for nearly a year. Also there was certain places no one could visit in the mansion.

Stephen went up to his bedroom and fell asleep on his bed.

 

[Asa]

Chai couldn't sleep and took the pills that Tarence had the compounds Dr give her for sleep. Not realizing they nearly put her in a coma.

Stephen woke up after a few minutes. He needed to tell Chai what he knew. Stephen threw his pants on with no boxers and put a shirt on but left it unbuttoned.

He walked over to Tarence bedroom door and softly pushed the door open. He could see Tarence laying flat out covering most of the bed.

As he walked closer he saw Chai laying there. That when he saw the different bottles of pills. after working in Vice he knew what they did. Taken together could put someone in a coma.

Stephen leaned down picking up Chai's soft body and crefully but quickly carried her out of the room back to his room and into his on suit bathroom.

Putting her down he held her head over the toilet and put his fingers down her throatforcing the pills up.

A few seconds later up came the pills into the toilet. As Chai had woke up he carried her into his bedroom and placed her on his bed offering her some water.

 

[Asa]

Chai recoiled from him for a moment confused and a little scared by this. She was shaking too much was happening and now with Gabriel and Tarence being so kind and the company she was a little overwhelmed

Wha... what do you want?

 

[Paulwilson57]

Stephen stayed crouched down as Chai feet. Not wanting to look threating.

"Are you ok? I found out some information on Gabriel and when i came looking for you i saw the pills you had took. Those different pills if took together can put you into a coma. Here have some water."

Stephen's eyes looked deep into hers . He had so much worry inside them for her.

 

[Asa]

She took the water.

They are to help me sleep.

Taking a sip she looked at him.

What did you find out about Gabriel?

Stephen carefully watched Chai's expression.

"Well he is still alive. I don't know how after he attacked you. I'm sure he is being held on the grounds and have two places were i could look for her that are being guarded."

He watched her drink the water as he reached out placing a hand on her bare thigh.

"Are you feeling better?"

 

[Asa]

She was not sure about trusting one of Makzim's people biting her lip as she spoke

Attacked... He wouldn't listen...

I want to confront him but Tarence would never go for that.

Stephen moved up at sat next to her as he felt her body almost leaning on his. Chai's body was so warm against his own.

"The man who attacked you cant hurt you no more Chai. Your safe."

Stephen was tender and caring.

 

[Asa]

I want to see him... look him in the eye. I refuse to be weak in this.

Chai sat there staring blankly almost taking it all in not sure what to do who to trust or what was going to happen.

Stephen looked over as Chai said that.

"Well if you speak to Tarence maybe he will let you. I can't do anything to help anymore as i could wreck the deal between Makzim and Tarence. So i think you should go back to your room and ask your husband if you can see Gabriel."

Stephen moved back onto the bed and lay there as he felt exhuasted from the days events. He shut his eyes.

Next to his night stand he had a tie and belt from his pants.

 

[Asa]

She grabbed the tie and backed away from him.

Find exactly where he is and get me in to see him or they will blame you for ruined negotiations. Tarence might just find me with this tied around me in one of the bathrooms where you made me clean off the evidence of your attack. Got it.

She reached for the door keeping an eye on him.

Stephen looked up at Chai with hurt in his eyes. He had found the information to try and help her and now she was doing this.

Stephen spoke softly.

"Why do you want to see him? He attacked you and that's not my tie anyway."

Stephen stayed laying on the bed.

 

[Asa]

Gabriel had always been so kind and so very different from Tarence other men and for him to change like that I want to know why... Now are you going to help me or not?

She watched him.

Do you really think after this last attack and with who your boss is that Tarence would doubt anything I told him?

 

[Paulwilson57]

Stephen stared at her in shock of what she said. She would really blackmail him. He quickly sat up and pulled both of his berettas out from under his pillows.

He stood up and buttoned up his shirt as he tucked them into his waist band.

Stephen didn't look at her once as he walked past her to the door. Suddenly Stephen had become very cold.

He knew when people didn't belong in this world they would be helpless and he could help them. But Chai he knew belonged.

Being able to blackmail him like that. She had learned the from Tarence. Stephen looked out the door making sure no one was in the hallway before moving out of his room.

When they got back to America it seemed that only Ember would get a get out of Jail free card.

Stephen didn't even look back to check if Chai followed him.

 

[Asa]

Chai had to find out something... anything. Maybe Ember could get the information out of Tarence for her tomorrow before he had him killed. Slipping back into bed she laid there in a troubled sleep.

Stephen tired the garage first. After 10 minutes of carefully sneaking past guards and cameras he had made it into the garage only to find a bunch of rare old cars. it seemed Tarence was an old car collector.

Stephen had quickly snuck out from there and made it back into the mansion before trying the basement. After not meeting any guards he had gotten down into the basement where he found a man tied to a chair in a bolted room.

Stephen was sure this was Gabriel as the man was covered in blood. Stephen carefully left the basement and crept back to his room waiting for Chai.

He had only be gone about 30 minutes tops.

 

[Asa]

She slipped back out of the room after being there when Tarence rolled over for a few moments and whispered she needed some water for her medicine and slipped from the room.

Did you find him?

Stephen sat on his bed as he looked over as Chai entered his room as she asked her question.

"Yeah i found him. They have him tied up in the basement and from the amount of blood he has lost he is not doing good."

Stephen carefully studied her face as he spoke to her. He knew as he said about the blood there was something more to this.

"An i don't like being blackmailed."

 

[Asa]

I needed answers... you got them what do you want as payment... that won't get either of us killed.

Chai stood there arms crossed watching him. She hated having to rely on someone she suspected would run to her husband or blackmail her if they knew the truth.

Stephen looked at Chai carefully for a minute before speaking.

"I want answers. What is the real reason you wanted me to check on him? Most women wouldn't give a damn if the guy who attacked her got hurt. Hell they would most likely want to cut his balls off themselves."

Stephen got his answer the moment he said his last line. He saw a small sign of worry on Chai's face.

She cared for him. Stephen stayed silent waiting for Chai's answer.
