There were only two things that mattered to Catalina.

Her family and her career.

So when her career moved her from Italy to America, she didn't want to leave her family but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her. Her first time away from home and first time out of her homeland for more than 2 months. This time, she would be living in America for at least a year.

A year she wasn't looking forward to.

But ever since she was young, she was involved in some sort of acting job, whether it was a commercial, game show or Italian soap opera, she loved what she did.

But now, a once in a lifetime chance was here. Her chance to star in a movie that was being filmed in America. A small time girl from literally a no named village was now a big time out of the blue actress that was in high demand not only because of her looks, but also because of her many awards she had won in Europe.

Catalina Russo was in high demand. And people couldn't wait to get their hands on her....

Cory was a 25 year old former top hockey prospect. Being from Canada originally he followed the dream of every boy there. Cory had made it to the NHL and was making a name for himself with the team in LA. He was known as an enforcer and his main goal was to fight. However cory's bright career came to a scratching hault one night when he was completely knocked out during an on ice bout. After months of rehab he never fully recovered from the blow to the head and was force to retire. The organization made a few calls and being in LA a new career opened up for Cory. A few months later Cory was one of the most well known body gaurds in LA.

Cory received a call from his boss saying that a new client was coming to town and needed a good body guard. The boss told Cory he was the right man for the job being how tough he really was. He was informed a new actress from italy was coming to the states to film her American debut and strict security would be needed. Cory eagerly accepted the offer and was told that a meeting would be set up.

A few days later Cory received a call from his boss with and was told to head to the main office of one of the huge motion picture making companies to be interviewed by the client and her management. Cory dressed in his best suit and headed that way. Checking in with the secretary he was told to have a seat and would be called when they were ready to see him. Cory sat in the small chair and a little nervously waited. This would be his biggest job yet if selected.

Jet lag. The one thing never before had Catalina ever experienced but here she was in her new agent's office, ready for the proper introductions to be done to those that would be with her a lot during her visit here to America.

So far, every one had been nice to her, very generous and very welcoming. She only hoped it would last for the remainder of her visit. She was so used to working with those that knew her, not with people trying to run over each other just to please her and make sure she was comfortable. She was used to being just one of the crew but here...wow...it was just odd...

Right now, all Catalina wanted to do was to go back to bed. Her body hadn't adjusted so well to the change of time and so right now it was wanting to go back to sleep...

As she sat, waiting for her agent to get down to the details, her sunglasses resting on her face weren't there to signal she was the star, but more for the brightness of sunlight that flooded the huge office.

Today she was dressed more casually than she should've been but it was still nice, a pair of black jeans, a pink top with a hoodie jacket over it all. Her hair was pulled back into a pony tail. If there was one thing about Catalina, she didn't bother with trying to be glamorous, she just was, even with such minimal make-up...

"So, Ms. Russo, here is how it's going to go today, you've got a few interviews lined up, most by yourself, the rest with the other members of the movie. We've assured that all threats would be taken care of before hand, I-"

"Wait...what threats?!" Catalina asked in a panic, there wasn't any mention about any threats before she had gotten here, her assistant had never said anything....

"There are threats Ms. Russo, several pieces of threatening mail and some phones calls inquiring about you, I thought that Priscilla had informed you?"

"No! No one told me!" Catalina wanted to bolt but knew that wouldn't be possible...

"Don't worry Catalina...please calm down," said Joseph, her manager/agent as he took a seat right next to Catalina, "It's going to be OK, remember I said we'd take care of you?"

It was then he signaled his secretary to let the new bodyguard in....

Just then Cory entered the room and was introduced. Standing his broad shoulders strong body set nicely in his tailored suit Cory smiled. "hello mam. I am Cory." he stood there extending his hand to his new client. He was immeresed in her beauty but remained very professional.

Cory had a seat after shaking everyones hand. Cory was asked to explain his career and his future experience. Cory explained to the group of his hockey back ground and being what was called an enforcer. The truth was before the cheap shot he had taken that ended his career Cory was not only one of the toughest men in the NHL he was probably the most feared. Cory was very comfortable with his work now and listed the intense training he had received. Throughout the process of doing this cory made it a point to make eye contact with the client herself to make sure she felt comfortable.

After a short period of time. The management team explained what Cory's role would be and brought up to date on all the threats and issues that had been presented. Cory looked right at her and stated. "I promise to protect you with all of my attention and energy. I just want you to know you are in good hands." Cory smiled at her hoping she would accept him and feel comfortable in his care.
