In her dark castle she sat on her throne as the creatures she had developed knelt to her. Her eyes were shut tight as she watched the people in the village. She had raided their home many days ago, and had taken or killed their children. After she had dispatched the first child, all the parents submitted. The men tried to rebel, but each of their blows didn't harm her. She enjoyed their efforts however, and enjoyed it more to burn their corpses. this had been the start of her vision.

She looked at the remains of their precious children. All of them morphed into demons. Strong and bulky, with large wings towering over their heads. They were strong, and the Kingdom of Destraal would feel the power of her army soon enough.

The village remained quiet; she had threatened to destroy them all if they left it, or spoke to one of its many travellers. She had spies everywhere, and her own eyes could see just as much. Her vision was almost complete. The world would soon be Tabitha's.

The village had been... strangely quiet. Although it was past afternoon and the night bellonged to darkness, the village was eerily quiet. No dogs barked. No laughter echoed from the houses or even the Inn. All were shut into their own homes.

There were no children.

Sir Gilles had found it strange. More than strange. It was really odd, the weird feeling taking a cold shiver to the back of his spine. So, he had decided to check it off. A woman, the most corageous of all the weeping maidens, had finally surrendered to his advances and told him of a cruel, wicked woman, a powerful sorceress, had taken their children.

And without a question, armed and ready, did Gilles started the long road into the starless night, towards the witch's Castle.

He would be her ruin.

Tabitha sensed him approaching from afar. The villagers would all die, but first, first she would deal with this brave stallion that entered her domain. It would be an excellent way to test out the abilities of her creatures. She smiled darkly to herself, her eyes closed as she stared beyond the castle walls. She examined him, young and naïve, hoping to make something out of his life. She knew his type. He was a Knight, ready to serve the people and see that justice is done everywhere.

He was a fool, and she would show him the error of his ways.

Although he was no night-dweller, Gilles could discern the castle, far into the top of a cliffy crag, it's walls darkened by both the night and the malice of those that dwelt in it. He could feel it in his spine. Some deed of great evil had been consumed within it's walls. And it was his duty to end the wicked debauchery that must had been done.

Taking upon his longsword, and cautiously enough not to end up wracked, Sir Gilles cautiously lead his mount upwards the first slopes of the moutain. He was afraid of no evil. His heart knew to terror.

Tabitha smiled as the demons raised their heads and snarled ferociously. She nodded to their leader, a large black demon with red eyes. His fangs were ferocious and his claws as sharp as steel. Six of the demons left the throne room, and took flight from the balcony. They soared through the night sky and let out shrieks of anger as they saw their mistresses enemy. Without a moment to spare they began their assault, four of them swooped past the knight, attempting to scratch him, while the leader and another demon charged for a frontal assault.

Tabitha watched the battle with closed eyes, eager to see the young knights skill.

He did not dissapoint the witch.

As soon as he had heard the inhuman shriek, he forced his mount forth with both care and speed, taking him up the ridge quickly in order to avoid the foul, deformed creatures as he took upon himselt a plan before acting. The ones that sallied harshly usually died in glory, but futilely.

One shadow dived straight for him, it's wing opening to make it even bigger, it's claws ready to tear him limb from limp. But Sir Gilles was up for it, taking his stalwart shield up to deflect the creature's clumsy blow, and counter it with one sharp slash of his mighty sword.

The creature shrieked in pain, but the pain did not stop it from diving at the horse. It leapt at the Knights mount, dragging it into the air. Soon the other demons had descended down upon the young knight, surrounding him. They hissed and growled as they formed a circle around him. Their leader hovered high above them, a large gash could be seen on his chest. It dropped the horse beyond the cliff, and it smiled ferociously.

The demons pounced on the Knight and Tabitha knew this pathetic boys life would be over soon.

But it would not be.

First and foremost, befor he was even knighted and sworn to uphold the good of his people, Sir Gilles was a warrior. A fighter. The loss of the mount would be surely grieved later on, but it was in the end, only a piece of the capable soldier that he was trained since his early childhood to be.

With a jold of fury did Gilles discard his shield, and wielding his weapon with both his hands, the knight jumped, even though bearing all the heavy armour's weight, towards the of the demon pack.

And with one mighty swing, decapitaed the beast in a maelstrom of gore.

But his blow did not stop, and it landed square over another creature's back, severing it's spine as it ripper through it's bat-like wings. One of them had grabbed tightly at his legs, but unable to pick upon his weight, Gilles turned the sword about in another downwards swing, severing both of the creature's twisted arms, laying a quick but powerful kick at it's head, so strong that it crushed the beast's skull.

There were still a score of demons, but all remained a fair distance from the slayer. And a smile formed at the knight's lips.

The Witch opened her eyes for the first time since she sensed the outside. Tabitha was not upset that the strongest beast she had was sliced down with ease; she was impressed. The Knight had strength that surpassed her dark creations, she had never witnessed raw strength, but it was not enough for her to fear. No man could harm her that much was fact. A plan hatched in her mind, and the dark lady smiled slyly at the rest of her specimens. Youth had its advantages after all…

She closed her eyes again, and her voice echoed in the mind of creatures. She wished to test the young knight even further. “All of you, attack him at once.”

It was laughting that Gilles stood up to meet the creature's screeching challenge. Now this was good sport! This was the path of blood, the path of honor and glory! He would emerge victorious, or not at all.

The creatures leapt from their covering places all at once. Gilles knew that, if he stood lingering in place, he would be physically overwhelmed by the hellspawn and surely ended.

But they did not knew of his own artifices. At the last moment, Gilles sidestepped, avoiding the charge of most of the creatures, and delivering a blind blow before him in order to tear the wings of another creature, and smash the skull of the one that darted specially towards himself, his steel fist diving through flesh and bone with ease as he punched it through it's jaw.

They were far too clumsy. Gilles fought as if dancing in a courtly ball, every move a dodge and every counter attack a killing blow as he severed limbs, wings, spines and heads with such a practiced ease that it was almost unnerving for the bestial creatures to get to him. And so he hacked and slashed until one last creature stood before him, trying to harm him with it's long claws but still too well-aware of it's self preservation should it charge headalong.

"Come, devil, and be ended!"

The last of the demons charged forward, he growled furiously as he scratched the young Knights face, and blood poured from it. He shrieked and lunged, his mouth wide and his fangs ferocious. Tabitha smiled, the Knight was indeed strong and she was impressed. There was few who could dispatch a horde of demons by herself, as the rest of the demons went to fly to stop the man, Tabitha ordered them to stop. She would wait.

At the very least, this Knight deserved an audience with her.

Of course, that with this last one Gilles had been relapse. The creature had managed to reach him even though he positioned his sword forth in order to impale the beast as it raced towards him. Kicking it out of his weapon, and fetching his shield, the knight wandered to the top of the Mount without looking back.

Tabitha’s demons had served their purpose. The Knight was wounded and unarmed and yet he still climbed. He was stubborn. This impressed her. She had ordered all of her creatures to not engage him; instead they left the castle and the mistress alone. The large iron gates opened, allowing anyone to just walk in. Tabitha still had her eyes closed as the unarmed knight approached the large castle walls.

The air was heavier inside the castle, even someone not adept in magic could sense the dark horrors that took place here over the years. Tabitha had never felt uncomfortable here. She felt power.

To climb up the moutain horseless was quite an ordeal, after all. Gilles was tiring when he finally reached the moutain top, taking his bloodied sword at his hands again, ready to face any perils that crossed his path with vicious retribuition.

It was with no small awe at the sheer majesty of the dark place that he entered through the blackened iron doors, taking his steps carefully into the den of evil. The air felt... heavy... lethargic as he tried to make his way through the place. It was wandering aloss through the stony corridors that Sir Gilles reached the opened doors to Tabitha's sanctum, unknown of the twisted woman that dwelt inside.

The castle was in darkness, and as soon as the young knight had entered her halls, the iron door slammed behind him. Nothing could be heard as the witch watched from room deeper in the castle. She spoke to him as he entered the throne room, within his one private place. Her cold spine-chilling voice whispered into his mind but her lips did not move a muscle. “Who enters?”

It was... quite odd to hear the woman's voice inside his head but not see her lips moving at all. Gilles had heard of the many artists that could disguise their features while talking, and even seen one of those in a fair, but he knew, deep into his bowels, that this woman was doing it out of a magical skil.

Sheating his sword, Sir Gilles slowly strode forth into the room, it's arcane energies mingled with those of pure evil.

"Offer me thy name, and I shall give you mine."

Tabitha smiled darkly as she raised her head. Her cruel grey eyes pierced into his as he drew his blade. There were several moments of silence as she stared into the depths of his soul. When she was satisfied reading into his past and acquiring the knowledge only his mind knew her dark lips smirked slightly.

“Hello Sir Gilles.” She purred slightly, her voice cold but inviting. “What brings you to my domain…?” An answer she already knew before searching his mind, but she wanted to humour the young man.

He wasn't shocked at all. Whatever were her foul magics and spells, he would still proceed unabated, utterly fearless... or rather foolish before the ageless sorceress. He looked upside down on her, analising her form at the same time repulsive and... appealing.

"I've come to claim your head."

“Is that so?” She let out a soft bit of laughter and stood from her throne. She moved down the stone steps, away from her throne. She moved with elegance, showing her complete figure to the boy. “And what use would you have for my head, child? You’ll find I can do so much more with it attached to my body…”

"Indeed?"

Gilles asked, intrigued, ever more curious about this figure. Why, in the Nine Hells should a woman need to kidnap children? And a gorgeous woman, at that?

"What do you imply, woman?"

She approached him with ease, resting her hand on the tip of his blade. She paused at its tip, looking him in the eye. “If my head had no body, we could not talk…,” She purred, her hand stroked down the blade tenderly. “You could not admire my body as my lips whispered to you…” She smiled slyly at him as she made eye contact. “You could not stare into my eyes as we spoke…,”

Suddenly, his senses started to dim. All that she could see was the sorceress' pale, milky skin, almost like that of a carcass. However, she was much more... arousing than he had first noticed. Gilles had come to cast down a hag, not a... a... gorgeous woman. The words started to burn his brain as he started to lose contact with reality.

Was this another spell?

"Yes...", he said, finally lowering his weapon, laying it's tip at the ground."Go on..."

Tabitha watched as he lowered the blade in his hand. Was her fun over? Had he submitted already? Her beautiful eyes remained on his as she glided towards him, she slowly reached out her cold hands and caressed his face tenderly. “You could not feel a touch of a woman…, but you never have, have you?” She said slyly, knowing all knights had sworn to stay chaste. Women and love were taboo…

He fought her stare with utmost difficulty as her glacial eyes told him of an endless pit of malice and depravity, so much... so much wickedness contained into her frame.

When she had extended her hand towards his face, Gilles grip on his weapong tightened, but he fought himself not to raise it. Why? Why had he contained himself from beheading this... monster?

"I...", he tried to gather enough willpower to reply, but his throat was dry.

It had been very long since Tabitha had company of that sort. She spent most of her time studying or advancing her plans for her vision of a world shaped by her cruel magic to keep the company of pleasure. Her body was a tool, and it was working effectively. Perhaps she had come on too strong to the virgin as he was silent.

She lowered her hand to his chest, taking notice of the grip tightening on his sword. Slowly she circled him, her left hand stroked down his armour, and moved past his shoulder. Her fingernails gently grazed the back of his neck. She paused in front of him, stroking his other cheek. He was cute for a man centuries younger than her… “What’s the problem, child? At a loss for words? “
