Donald Trump is easily the most interesting candidate to run for the presidency in my lifetime. And the most controversial. He scares the shit out of a lot of people, mostly without warrant, in my opinion. One group that is advisedly scared of him, however, is the super wealthy. He has in the past said if he ever becomes president he would propose a one time wealth tax of something like 14 or 15% on all wealth owned by a single individual in excess of $10,000,000. Not an income tax, mind you. A wealth tax. This kind of talk gives the super wealthy tremors, and I love it.

Listen, dipshit, Trump and I both know we don't have that authority on our own. Trump clearly stated he would try to obtain that authority if he becomes president. He probably couldn't get his proposal through both houses of Congress, but I found it interesting that he even proposed such a thing. And yes, I wouldn't feel bad if the super wealthy had to kick in a little of their wealth to help the country through such a tax. They would still wind up with more than 85% of their wealth after the tax. Big fucking shame they wouldn't be quite so wealthy for a while.
