Here's a Peterson interview you may find interesting.

Social Media

The clip is 22 min. but for the purposes of discussion the first 12 min. are all that you need to watch.

This guy again? This clip further pump up the guy’s own ego?

Is that why iso36 would like it? He have a bad day, so you figure you show him a video of that guy and say… your day is better than his??

Wow.

There's this thing called private messages you might find interesting.
Nah, that would be a little too...intimate, you see.

Shoelifts has been sort of jittery over all things seemingly gay lately.

Even though Ish is more of an "ally" to him here than an ace boon buddy, he's probably just looking out for the little guy's feels. :D

I watched a JP documentary recently after Chob started this thread.

Interesting guy… i thought his original stuff about Pronouns as hate speech re Bill C16 was interesting.

His other extrapolations are a bit precious imo.

Oh, and a Shout out to that fat bald attention whore zumi.

Yeah, clinical psych borders on the arcane at times. I tracked as many papers supporting his opinions as I could and the DIL (Vat's wife) has a masters in clinical and is working on her fud so I can ping her on the shit I can't track down. Basically you won't find anything he's written in "Psychology Today."

Which brings us to the next point, those that vilify Peterson do so with no basis in the science as it is. Essentially they are the very people discussed in the first 12 minutes.

The problem isn't Peterson's views on clinical psychology, which may or may not be within the mainstream or non marginalized science. The problem is when Peterson strays from his expertise, and says stupid shit.

Funny, we are going to take the word of the guy who is vilified that all of them are wrong.

And bring back that other interviewer, Piers isn’t really the hard hitting journalist that will get into things. He is too involved in the issues personally to be objective.

I really enjoy how this guy feels he is an expert on everything.

The internet has really helped this guy attempt to get all of his message out there- so glad he has you here doing it as well.

He’s an academic whose thoughts have entered the mainstream and are being broadly considered.

You’re a poster whose thoughts haven’t.

He is thought provoking.

And he angers the wokesters, much like Dave Chappelle.

I like the balancing of thoughts and views in the public square.

The woke-hate he generates is also noteworthy.

I don’t pretend to put myself on any level as this guy thinks he is. I back up my thoughts with things that I have actual credentials.

His assertions are often outside his area and he is ill equipped To back them up, unless of course he isn't confronted and just allowed to say anything he wants.

You welcoming “balance” is laughable. Anyone who can ascribe to some of the things you have posted and then claim you welcome balance…. What you welcome is anything to muddies the waters and make it less clear how far away from normal your position really is. Moving the fulcrum toward your position and then arguing something balances it just on the other side of it isn’t balance.

The “esteemed” professor seems to do that same strategy in the clips that have been shared here so far, seems like faulty logic to me.

His craftsmanship is just that, craft. When he os questioned by those who don’t espouse to his views and haven’t bought into the way he has reshaped the argument, he gets flustered and falls apart (saw that in a clip that followed one what was shared)

Love how the right has latched onto this word “woke” like it is derogatory in some fashion. It just implies the rest of you have been sleeping this whole time. Which would explain how you think you have all of these facts but they are just the manifestations of your brains dealing with the world in your own head.

For centuries, the world has been dormant and relegated to a Eurocentric perspective. Now, we are coming out of that slumber, which is painful for those who have enjoyed the comforts it has afforded you. So yes, if you want to call it woke, that is fine. I wake up each day refreshed and ready for a new day. Your view is for us to keep our eyes shut tight because we didn’t see what we wanted to see when we opened them a little.

So if you want to perpetually hit snooze on your alarm clock, and even worse try to reverse time to before you were asleep the night prior- then that is your prerogative. But for the rest of the world, time continuously moves forward and you will just be left behind as all things that can’t seem to adapt do.

But please continue to show how this guy can do anything else but try to bring a bunch of scared white men back to their sweet dreams they so look for.

Change always happens. And is it uncomfortable at times, sure. But let’s not be so quick to vilify those emerging groups in our world because they finally have a voice.

If you want to complain to the kitchen that they didn’t make your meatloaf right, or there isn't enough fruit in your jello- go do that instead of having to come here and try to espouse all of these theories that seem to back up your tired world view.

You know how you can be less tired, get a night of sleep and then wake up with the rest of us.

Thanks for the opportunity.

But if what you are standing for is shaky at best, move toward ground that is less unstable.

In your previous post you claimed to be a champion for change.

5 minutes later, you advocate stabilty.

Were you a liar and a fool then or now?

Neither, but thanks for that analysis.

Prior, I was saying you should wake up and embrace change. The recent post is the same. If you are on shaky ground you need to move to solid ground.

The process of finding that new location will bring change.

Maybe you need the professor to try to explain it to you, that seems like something that would fit the research of his I have looked at.

I simply don’t think artificially moving the fulcrum will yield you finding balance. Your position never changes but you feel like you have actually done something for yourself.

Things are in constant state of change and being able to adjust with it is important. And yes you are looking for ways to balance the system and find how things fit around you. It’s all a part of learning.

Do you still remember fondly when the Earth was the center of the universe? No, science told us it’s the Sun. Are you still one who says the Earth is flat? I’ve seen those out there as well.

So please clutch onto whatever it is you think is your position and claim you seek balance. Your posts are glaringly different than that statement.

Again, as always, thanks for the opportunity.

stability is achieved through change and is maintained because of it.

If it aint broke, don’t fix it.
Says the one who is a member of the group who have done the lion share of the breaking.

The reaction you have to this change is exactly highlighting the things that are broken here.

But do tell us more, it’s like those comedy interviews on the street. Funny and sad at the same time.

I acknowledge your efforts to insult me, but how about you try on the basis of something I’ve posted versus your imagination?

If it aint broke, don’t fix it.
how do you think stability came about if not for change? they got it right the first time? how the hell do you think animals evolve? through stability? as i said, contrarians bring bupkus to the table.
