I have certainly learned it's a small world after finding lit!

The Rangers and the Islanders' games we attended

Well Hockeygurl, if nothing else, if you're to be the company, then this misery would really, really love it. A loss is a loss so I don't know which is worse: the Rangers failing to score more than once against a Maple Leaf defense that is charitably described as porous; or your Islanders giving up eight goals to anyone. Actually, I think giving up the eight goals is more painful to a fan. If nothing else, at least we get lulled to sleep by the Rangers low quality shots on goal and lack of scoring. You get pelted eight times, which usually means lots of other quality shots that remind you how poorly your team is playing. <sigh> I'm still hopeful that we don't have a $50 billion payroll for nothing.

Anyway, I took my nine year old to his first Rangers' game and he really enjoyed live hockey (there is nothing like live hockey).

Pretzel

P.S. The above does not mean I have failed to appreciate how totally hot you are. I never forget that.

We had my 3 daughters, ages 13, 11 and 5 with us. We went to dinner first and we had a good night together despite the final score.
I have to say this...of 30 years of being an Isles fan and going to at least several games each year, if not all, I would NEVER leave early. I did last night. After the 8th goal was scored I just couldn't watch the frustration on my team. On a good note, we scored a power play goal in the last minute to keep that nit going and spirits up for the next game...not until thursday now. This schedule SUCKS!

My oldest is dying to get to an Isles-Rags game in the Garden this year. I was 12 the first time I did that so I want to get there with her! Me and my Mom with our Isles shirts on in the Garden 1979....scary!

Well, it could be worse than the Flyers or Isles or Leafs. Try supporting the team with the longest run without winning Lord Stanley ever - at least in current NHL land. Oh woe oh woe is the Canucks :D

Years ago Dennis Potvin was arrested on physical spousal abuse. He hit his wife!

Once a wife beater always a wife beater!!!!!!

Billy Smith was a next door neighbor of my friend. Everytime we waved he gave us a dirty look and never waved back.

I guess all the Islanders in the 80's thought they were above the law..

My favorite is and always will be Brian Trottier. His skills were good but his knowledge of the game was excellent. He demanded perfection from everyone on the team.
