Tara had a long day including stopping a mugging, saving people from a fire and delivering a litter. She decided she deserved to treat herself after a long day. She had heard trouble from her arch nemesis and figured maybe hed taken a break After his several plots over the weekend.

She got dressed and headed our for Drinks and dancing at the club downtown.

Adam loosened his tie. He had just gotten through a long, monotonous lecture to his undergrad students about soil sampling, and soil contents. They were so excited to hear it that they ended up falling asleep from shock!

He decided that he needed a drink. If he was going to finally destroy Thundra, he needed to be loose and ready to go, not bunched up like a cat chasing its tail.

He locked his office, happy he had worn something appropriate to go clubbing, before heading downtown to one of the many clubs along Main Street.

Tara had wished she could fly to the club to avoid the traffic. She got there 15 minutes later and went in for drinks. She couldn't really get drunk but she enjoyed the burn and taste of the drinks. She sat at the bar a two or three drinks and then decided she wanted go have a dance.

She shuffled her way to the floor dancing and having a good time.

Adam didn't know why he drank alcohol. As a demi-god, alcohol had no effect on him. He did enjoy the taste of a whiskey sour, and the slight warm feeling he got, but he never got drunk. The nice thing about his powers were that he could fly, or just sink into the earth and travel underground. He rarely used the car he bought to keep up appearances.

He caught parts of the music drifting from the dance floor, and decided to go dance. He hadn't danced in close to seven decades, and that had been when he was married. He decided that it was time for him to try out his dancing shoes again.

Being a demigoddess Tara had a few psychic abilities. She could teleport, multiply herself , hear thoughts ,feel emotions fly. Alsoe with her being an elemental she could control weather with her lightning whip.She appeared to be a normal young blond but she was older than she appeared at nearly 1,000 human years. She always learned the new dances and crazes to keep up with the humans.

She danced with a few and even got groped a bit and decided she would get another drink before heading out. She saw a guy dancing awkwardly and giggled deciding she would go dance with him. "Hi" she said flashing a brilliant smile.

As Adam started to dance, he realized that he only knew dances from the 40s. He started to look around, wondering exactly what these kids were doing. He had learned dances over his 1200 year life, yet the times always seemed to be hardest nowadays. There was so much gyration, instead of actual stepping, that it got him mixed up.

He noticed a gorgeous blonde walking his way, before smiling at her. She smiled and said hello. He nodded, before smiling back and saying, "Howdy."

Tara smiled and raised her eyebrow and giggled " You dont dance often do you?" She said smirking trying to hold back a laugh.

She watched him move and decided shed shown him few current moves from today the poor guy danced like he was from thse 1940's.

Adam smiled as she started dancing with him. He didn't know who she was, but he realized it was much easier to learn to dance with someone else. He just hadn't danced like this in what seemed like forever. Time dragged for him, yet it always seemed to end up that he would invariably arrive in a new time almost completely by surprise.

His hands found the girl's hips as he started to get the rhythm, grinding his hips against hers.

Tara smiled realizing the guy was getting into the rhythm and she moved back against him as he held her hips.

He was incredibly handsome and she was shocked why other women hadnt swarmed around him. Maybe it was the dancing. She grinned. The song was about to finish and she turned smiling. " Your a pretty fast learner" she said. 'and pretty big' she thought to herself.

Adam smiled at the woman. "Thanks, you're a fantastic teacher. Would you like to keep dancing, or can I buy you a drink?" he asked. He could see he was catching looks from guys, but that didn't bother him nearly as much as it probably should have.

Tara grinned " We can dance after another drink" she said seeing the dirty looks thrown his way from a few guys she turned down and a few thrown her way from jealous women.

She took his hand and gasped feeling a quick shock but ignored it and kept pulling him toward through the crowd. She had no problem pulling the large man behind her without effort. She knew she was strong and blushed letting go of his hand once thwy reached the bar and her must have noticed as well.

Adam smiled as he realized this was a woman who took care of herself. She was able to pull him along to get him moving, which was pretty new to him. It might have helped that he didn't fight it. He had the ability to be solidly rooted if he so chose.

As they sat at the bar and she let his hand go, he asked, "What are you drinking?" As an afterthought, he also asked, "What's your name?"

" I'll have an electric blue lemonade" she said smiling. She glanced over her dance partner and smiled seeing how fit he was. He obviously liked working out and so did she. It wasnt necessary but it was fun . "Im Tara" she said " What's your name?"

"Adam," Adam said, as he watched the bartender fix their drinks. He was happy that she seemed to be enjoying herself. It had been a while since he had met anyone like her. Something about her seemed to set her apart. He smiled, handing her her drink, and sat next to her. It was just crowded enough that there were not enough stools for everyone.

He sat down, before smiling and saying, " If you'd like, you can use my leg as a seat, seeing as everyone else is going that way."

Tara smiled " I suppose it would save space" she smirked and sat in his lap " so umm you from around here?" She said

Adam smiled, feeling Tara's supple behind against his thigh. "I actually teach geology at the local university. I find I have an affinity for the earth," he said, smiling at her. "Are you from around here?" He asked.

She nodded " Yes im a vet. I deliver , revive and care for animals. Its very interesting actually. Hmm The study of earth. Its very.. interesting. You like nature?"

 

[raiguy]

"I love nature. There's a power, a balance, to it that I find soothing. If I'm ever stressed, I can go for a walk in the woods behind my cabin and I calm down. Do you enjoy your work?" He asked Tara, his hand coming to rest on her hip.

" I love it. I help all types of animals during the day. My motto is to help helpless things. Ive done excting things and birth is beautiful and natural"she said smiling

Adam smiled. It was very easy to see just how much Tara cared. He took a sip of his drink, before smiling and taking her hand as he stood up. "Let's dance for a little while. I can't sit for too Lon in here. It's too crowded for that," he said with a smile.

She nodded agreeing "Sounds good. I like this song" she said taking his hand again. They moved to the dance floor and she moved with him to the beat.

Adam smiled, finding his feet again as the music moved him. He was finally finding his dancing shoes, or maybe it was just his partner. A slow song started, and Adam smiled as he pulled Tara close, swaying slowly from side to side.

Tara smiled as he swayed her in his arms to a slow song. She smiled as she put an arm behind his neck and he held her waist. He had improved and by the feeling behind her she felt that he liked it.

Adam was enjoying the dancing. It had been a long time since he had had this much fun. He kissed her neck softly as the music continued, swaying in time with her. It seemed like she was enjoying this, as Tara kept grinding against him seemingly as hard as she could

Tara groaned as he kissed her neck and swayed wiyh her to the beat.She smiled and turned kissing him on the lips. She gasped feeling a shock again and looked at him.
