[Asa]

She changed clothes slipping into a long azure blue sun dress that billowed around her legs. She was still a little jumpy as she walked into the formal dining room to make sure everything was ready.

Gabriel was tied up downstairs in the basement as he was covered in blood. He had his face cut in two places. One of her cheek the other above his left eye. His ribs were battered and bruised from being beaten.

Terance came home with some of his men as they begun to make their way to the basement.

 

[Asa]

She walked out of the dining hall as Tarence and his men entered the house. She almost instantly recoiled a little biting her lip not realizing he knew anything.

Hello love...

She spoke trying to stand her ground as it were attempting to smile a little to him.

Tarence took her into a hug.

"Ohh it's so good to see you ok."

Once terance let Chai go from the hug. He turned away beginning to head for the basement.

"There is a serious matter i must deal with. Where is he?"

One of the guards pointed to the basement and Terace stormed through the door shutting it.

 

[Asa]

She hugged him just nodding not sure what he was talking about but was not about to show her confusion at all.

Yes love... I am okay... Everything appears it will be ready when our guests arrive... just need to send one of the help to get some fresh flowers from Mirea's.

She pressed a kiss to his cheek quickly before he took off again.

Tarence headed into the basement as he saw Gabriel.

"How dare you hurt my wife."

Tarence punched out 7 times at Gabriel's face almost breaking his nose and forcing more blood to come out.

He kicked Gabriel in the stomach hard. So hard it knocked the chair over and caused Gabriel to smash his head on the floor. The world speemed like it was spinning to Gabriel as Tarence headed off upstairs.

She got word that the company would be arriving early and hurried the guard to the flower shop to pick up her order. She looked in the mirror to make sure she looked alright while awaiting the flowers hoping they would arrive before their guests.

All the guests were lead out by Tarence onto the pattio to greet his beautiful wife.

Some of the men undressing her with their eyes. A young bodyguard stood near the back and watched her closely. He smiled as she looked at him.

Tarence left a young named Ember with Chai so they could chat about girl things as he lead the men away.

 

[Asa]

Ember watched Makzim leave biting her lip clearly scared of this situation.

Chai looked to her... its alright... Tarence has business only on his mind. You are the one Makzim brings to gain favors aren't you. The one I was told I could not have anger against him for... Its alright... I will see if his business affairs here can keep him away from you for as long as possible

Please sit down lets get something to eat...

Tarence lead the rest of Makzim's men into a lounge room and offered them all cigars.

As they all sat there smoking them Tarence began to talk business. He was going to be getting a whole lot of money for this.

 

[Asa]

Chai saw the terror in the girl and sighed inwardly. She wondered how she ended up in a situation like this. At least Tarence would never offer her to others... She urged her to invite her guard over to eat with them even though the girl seemed scared of him too... that Chai understood as she had not been able to leave this house in years due to Taernce fear that someone would do something to her to get to him or she would escape... it really depended on what day and what mood he was in or if he had been drinking or whatever.

Tarence got a report from the guard saying how bad Gabriel was. Tarence smiled as he smoked his cigar more.

"Keep beating him till he tells me what happened or passes out."

Makzim hears this but pretends not to. Who is this man who has seen sometihng?

Tarence guards seemed to keep an eye on Chai. Circling around but more like mother hens than concerned about her saying or doing anything. She was so used to it that she didn't notice but Ember was getting jumpy at their presence.

One guards heads over whispering to another guard.

"Go an check on Gabriel downstairs the boss wants him barely walking for now."

The other guard walks away as they didn't know Chai could of heard that.

 

[Asa]

She glanced around hiding her trying to see what else was said wondering what was going on with Gabriel.

Ember noticed the change and bit her lip. Whats wrong? Her voice barely a whisper terrified her asking Chai this would make the guards mad at her.

Its... Its nothing Chai shook her head... She would have to speak in private with the compounds personal Dr in the next day or two to see what was going on with Gabriel.

The guards had contniued to beat Gabriel in the basement. They were all talking and laughing betwen.

As least they were not going to kill him yet.

 

[Asa]

Chai sat back relaxing talking with Ember.

Due to the beating gabriel was getting he passed out tied to the chair.

 

[Asa]

A couple of hours had past and Ember and Chai went for a walk.

Tarence and the rest of the men were all getting a little drunk in the study as makzim had tried to get more information on this man they were beating up.

However he had had no luck.

 

[Asa]

As the evening rolled around the lavish dinner Chai had arranged for them and their guests was prepared as she sent the staff to call them to dinner.

Once all the guests had arrived. They were all seated for dinner. There was 12 place setting and Tarence and makzim sat together towards the top end of the table while Stephen was sat next to Ember and across from Chai at the other end of the table.

 

[Asa]

Chai informed Tarence of her plans of turning their house into a shopping paradise so that she and Ember could shop to their hearts content in the morning. A smile gracing her lips. When it came to shopping she knew he never refused her since she picked out things for him as well and kept him so very well dressed when he needed to be.

Stephen could not help but feel greatful to Chai for helping Ember stay away from Tarence and showing Ember a little bit of humanity's good qualities.

 

[Asa]

Chai awaited an answer or at least a smile.

And don't worry I am not through shopping for you... Enough with the casual shirt and all that love

Chai smiled to Tarence.
