Hillary, Progressive or....?

Betraying Progressives, DNC Platform Backs Fracking, TPP, and Israel Occupation

The establishment shows no tendency to be progressive. Demo's stand for, more of the same old shit storm.

Despite its claims to want to unify voters ahead of November's election, the Democratic party appears to be pushing for an agenda that critics say ignores basic progressive policies, "staying true" to their Corporate donors above all else.

During a 9-hour meeting in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, members of the DNC's platform drafting committee voted down a number of measures proposed by Bernie Sanders surrogates that would have come out against the contentious Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), fracking, and the Israeli occupation of Palestine. At the same time, proposals to support a carbon tax, Single Payer healthcare, and a $15 minimum wage tied to inflation were also disregarded.

In a statement, Sanders said he was "disappointed and dismayed" that representatives of Hillary Clinton and DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz rejected the proposal on trade put forth by Sanders appointee Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), despite the fact that the presumed nominee has herself come out against the 12-nation deal.

Democrats Prioritize Party Unity Over Including Stand Against TPP In Platform

Members of the Democratic National Convention Platform Committee shot down an attempt to include specific opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal in the platform, despite the fact that both Democratic presidential candidates have taken positions against the TPP.

The attempt failed because members appointed by Hillary Clinton and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed it was improper to oppose the TPP when President Barack Obama fervently believes in the agreement. However, by putting party unity before taking a firm stand against the trade agreement, the door was left open for Clinton to go back to supporting the TPP, which was the case when she was secretary of state.

“It is hard for me to understand why Secretary Clinton’s delegates won’t stand behind Secretary Clinton’s positions in the party’s platform,” Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said

Representative Keith Ellison, who was appointed by Sanders campaign, proposed the following language for the platform: “It is the policy of the Democratic Party that the Trans-Pacific Partnership must not get a vote in this Congress or future sessions of Congress.”

But Obama wants the TPP, so like good lemmings we all have to jump off the cliff with him?

yeah, you are one of the obama kind :(

Uhmm... Aren't you the psychic, though?

How the fuck did that post translate into being one of the "obama kind."

P.S.: Learn to use capitalization and punctuation. It will show people that you're actually an adult...

If you did a bit of research, you'd find out just how fucking wrong you are about me.

Of course, trying to get a Republican't to pull his head out of his ass is an exercise in futility, so...

P.S.: The grammar advice still holds. You come off like an ignorant child, since you can't be bothered to write properly...

there we go, drink the juice! good little slave

Vote Democratic - according to them, it's the original grassroots party - with a built-in system (superdelegates) designed specifically to choke off grassroots candidates...

If they were remotely progressive, they'd be killing themselves to nominate Sanders...

So, on one hand, we have Killary - not a viable option for the presidency, I don't give a fuck what the DNC wants me to believe. I'm not a fucking Democrat anyway, so they can go piss up a fucking rope.

On the other hand, we have Drumpf - and the number of certifiable idiots who support him just boggles my mind. Republicans are going to have to support him in the name of their party - but I'm not a fucking Republican, either, so they can piss up the same rope with the Democrats.

That leaves us with a bit of a problem, wouldn't you say? Neither choice is worth voting for - at least in my opinion. Vote for Killary - you're just stupid. Vote for Drumpf, and you're a spineless fucking moron.

Who's left? Any suggestions?

Depends upon he state you're in. Stine and Johnson could be on the ballot in your state? Stine is probably the least crazy, maybe?

"He" state means you vote for Trump, & "she" states for Hilary.

I've got one of my rare medical-free weeks, but keep hoping they'll just induce me into a coma until the election's over.

Also, Wolf, nothing will show anyone that NEM is "actually an adult", since they actually aren't. (I believe it to be an animal they taught to type, like Coco the gorilla that learned ASL.)

Anybody mention Benghazi lately?

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...crats-say-no-blame-clinton-benghazi/86425430/
WASHINGTON — The Democrats on the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued their minority report today, absolving then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of blame in the 2012 terror attacks in which four Americans were killed.

The Democrat-only report, issued after more than two years of a Republican-led investigation that took place mostly in secret, concludes that the U.S. military was not ordered to delay its response on the night of the attacks that began on Sept. 11, 2012.

"We are issuing our own report today because, after spending more than two years and $7 million in taxpayer funds in one of the longest and most partisan congressional investigations in history, it is long past time for the Select Committee to conclude its work,” the Democrats wrote.

Neither party wants to discuss the real significance of Benghazi, which is that it was a transshipment depot for US weapons going from Libya to al Qaeda-affiliated mercenaries in Syria.

Neither party wants to discuss any fucking thing that is of any fucking significance. It's a smoke and mirrors game, like it's always been. Get the population all worked up:

"They're going to take our fucking guns away - the fucking horror!"

"They're letting those fucking fags and dykes get married, and adopt children - the fucking horror"

"They want to let trans people into restrooms that they shouldn't be in - the fucking horror!"

"These fucking low-life service workers want $15.00 an hour for what they do - the fucking horror!"

Keep the population occupied and in a frenzy over stupid shit that doesn't mean anything anyway, while the real shit goes down, unreported, untalked about, and hidden away from sight.

There is no such thing as two parties in this country anymore. Democrat, Republican, it's all the same fucking thing - an accumulation of wealth and power, mostly the power, and the stripping of individual rights - all the while making it seem that what they do is in our best interests.

Ya know what? Bernie, 2016, because FUCK THIS SHIT.

Now that I've uttered the name of the Democratic antichrist, I'll be waiting for the flaming to begin...

I'm hoping that reference to flaming was simply yet another "Bern" pun... Since I-don't-know-when, I've believed him to be the better/only Dem candidate. (I don't recall seeing a write-in option on ballots any time I voted in town, but if I did this time, I was using it!)

Nahh...neoLibuhral douches like Obama and Clinton, the worshipers of the extreme rich and good friends of the GOP's neoCon's will make sure that never happens.

Maybe if the (D) voters weren't such retards you could have actually nominated someone who might possible give a fuck about something other than getting rich and hooking up rich homies with more riches.

Currently the only real difference between (D) and (R) are the rhetoric they sell and the corporations they represent. That's it.....both sides sell the citizenry at large out the second they have the power to do so and spout their conservative/liberal rhetoric while pointing fingers when the other side gets power and does the exact same shit they just got done doing.

I believe him to be the only candidate who's worth a fuck in this election - but I'm originally from Vermont, so it's a no-brainer for me.

It wasn't meant as a "Bern" pun - you wouldn't believe - or maybe you would - the shit I get sometimes for saying he's the only rational candidate in this election...

To the best of my knowledge, there are seven states that completely disallow write-in votes. The rest allow them, but some have certain restrictions.

Personally, I'm hoping the guy will jump on the Green Party ticket - he might just have a chance that way.

I registered as a Dem for the simple reason that I wanted to caucus for Sanders - I live in Iowa now, and I got really involved when he announced - see my above comment for the reason why.

Unfortunately, it's going to take a fucking miracle of epic proportions to get that fucking cunt out of the Democratic nominating process - and I don't think they're going to allow that. It's so fucking important to them that we have a president with a vagina, they just don't give a fuck about anything else...

If he is not the nominee of Dems or Reps, he won't win... I know Whigs won a few long ago, but closest you'll come now is a GOP winner who wears one.
