We've all (at least in the USA) heard stories of too-powerful Home Owners Associations, doing things like telling people what color they can paint their own living room, or that they can't park their car in the driveway because it's too old and brings down neighbors' property values.
Maybe you've even heard about HOAs that penalize people for having too many dates with different people, because that gives the impression of a sex business at the address, and again lowers property values.
What happens when the HOA is taken over by libertines? When they demand that neighbors have more dates, even when they're married, because the ambience of the neighborhood is of sexual availability and expansiveness?
Can Mrs. Jaroslav, a 55-year-old widow, force herself to start dating again after her husband's recent and much-mourned death? Mr. and Mrs. Kent start swinging, or risk large fines from the Association? Does Mr. Enríquez actually start a sex business, turning tricks in his house, just to keep the HOA off his back?
