Gotta love Minnesota, I canoe up in Quetico/BWCA every spring. Beautiful country there. Summer is not long enough but the winter is so amazing that it makes up for it.

The BWCA is a great gem. I usually go in at Ely.

I head in the Canadian side, Pickeral lake. Then usually do about 6-7 Portages and end up around elephant lake.

Skipped last year but the year before that, spring was the highest water I have ever seen in there. easily 5 feet above normal and fishing was tougher as they were scattered.
