Megan was sitting on the couch a glass of water in her hand, a movie playing on the big screen tv. It was nice, defiantly not what she wanted her life to be like all the time but for a couple of weeks it was enjoyable.

When her parents had asked her to watch the house of their wealthy friends she had her doubts about it. Her parents had money as well, not as much as their friends but she had still tried her best to distance herself from it. She didn't need thier money to be happy or successful. Megan wanted to be her own person.

Jack burst through the door talking loudly on his phone about last nights game.

After the game they'd gone to a bar and Jack had quite a bit to drink so he decided, as he always does, to find a girl to take home with him. So he walks over to the bar and pulls out his credit card, which is completely paid for by his parents. Then he loudly orders a $200 bottle of champagne at the bar and turns to the blonde next to him. He offers her some champagne which she obviously accepts and as they finish the champagne he talks her into coming back with him. He takes her home, where she's too preoccupied to notice the boxes in the corner and then by morning he's gone and left her a note saying "Laura? Lauren? L.... The semester is over for me so I've gone home early. Here's $20 for a cab. J"

He's just finished telling his friend about it when he sees the movie screen on, confused because his parents are out of town he creeps to the doorway to have a look. Then he sees Megan on the couch, he's definitely seen her before but it was years ago and he definitely didn't remember her looking like that. He texts his friend "dude, the girl looking after my house is hot! I'll keep you updated ;)"

He walks over to the couch next to her and shouts "what are you doing in my house?!" then he laughs and smiles at her "Just kidding, you are the Matthews' daughter right? Sorry to surprise you, I decided to come back early from college and I forgot my parents would have left someone watching the house"

"Are you drunk?" Megan asked as she quickly stood up from the couch "you smell like a bar..." She took a deep breath as she tried to remember his name "what are you doing home? No one is supposed to be here, aren't you supposed to be in school or something?" Megan really didn't care why he was there, all she cared about was if he was planning on staying and acting just as obnoxious the rest or her stay. "Do your parents know you're home? If they forgot to call me, I understand they are busy... I guess I'll just get out of your way, they don't need to pay me to house sit if you're here."

Jack looks over at Megan at laughs softly "No I'm not drunk, but I was last night!"
He's taken aback slightly by her frantic question and wants to calm the situation down before she calls his parents and says he's strolled in stinking of alcohol.

"Sorry for barging in on you like this, I forgot you'd be here." He offers her his hand "I'm Jack, I'm sure we've met before but it's definitely been a while. Like I said I'm here because I decided to come back from college early so I could spend some time relaxing before my parents came back. So no, they don't know that I'm back yet."

He pauses, smiling over at the girl and hoping he's said enough to relax her a bit. I guess I'm about to find out

"There's really no need for you to go if you don't want to, it is a big house and if you are getting paid it seems like easy money to me. That way my parents don't need to know that I'm back just yet."

Because I know they are going to be pissed about the bottle of champagne

"what do you think? maybe you can stick around for a bit longer?"

"I guess so..." Megan said as she sat back down "but I'm not going to clean up after you, if that's what you're hoping for. If you make a mess, it's you're responsibility." She said before turning her attention back to the movie.

She wasn't sure why he wanted her to stay but she had made a promise to take care of the house while his parents away and she would stick to that promise, even if it meant sharing the place with him.

"Relax" Jack smiles, slightly unsure of why she seems so negative about him being in the house with her, it is his house after all. He jumps onto the couch next to her "So what are we watching?"

He pulled out his phone to send a quick message to his friend Got her to stick around! Bit frosty though, gonna see if I can warm her up.

"You still haven't told me your name by the way, want me to have to call you Miss Matthews?"

"It's Megan." She said "the movie is just ending... I'm going to go make lunch, do you want something?" She asked as she got up "just tell me what you want and I'll make it..."

"Nice to meet you Megan.... I'll just have a sandwich with whatever we've got in the fridge. So you won't clean up after me but you'll make me lunch, I guess having a cook is as good as having a maid" Jacks winks at her but as soon as he says it realises she might not take the joke too well.

Megan rolled her eyes "I was just trying to be nice..." She said as she walked away, heading into the kitchen. As she started making a sandwich for each of them she wondered if he was always like this. He seemed full of himself. She took a deep breath and decided to just forget about it and try to make the best of the situation "here you go." She said as she walked back in a few minutes later and handed him a plate before sitting down on the other end of the couch again.

Jake chuckled to himself as he walked out of the door, either she'd fall for him or she'd hate him but he figured either way he was going to have some fun. He snuck over to the doorway so that he could see into the kitchen and quickly took a photo of her, just barely remembering to turn the flash off. He sent it to his friend with the caption Gotta be at least a 9

He jumped back onto the couch just in time for Megan to return "Thanks" he said with an over the top smile as he took the plate from her. He took a bite of his sandwich "mmm this is good, you can definitely stick around" flashing her another grin before he set the plate on the sidetable. "So are you just here during the day or are you sleeping over as well?" he asked coolly and with no hint of a hidden meaning whatsoever. Jack figured she'd get the message but wanted to seem too innocent for her to get mad about it.

"Well I was sleeping here but now that you're home I guess that means I can go home and sleep in my own bed." She said "there really isn't a reason for both of us to stay here." Megan said before starting to eat her own sandwich.

Jack wasn't sure what to say to that, it was perfectly reasonable but he didn't really want Megan to go. "Well it's quite a big house so there's plenty of space for you even with me being here... besides I don't really know what I'm doing so I could be in and out a lot. Might even go out later tonight"

He was lying but thought if she'd been make to make sure his house wasn't empty, the thought of him going out might make her feel obliged to stay. "Besides, we've only just met and you're talking about leaving? That's just not very friendly" with obvious sarcasm in his voice, Jack smiled at her again.

Megan sighed "fine, I guess I'll stay. But if you're just going to come back and be loud and drunk don't expect me to stick around. I don't know what you want from me but I'm not here to take care of you." She said annoyed that he was so insistent on her being around.

Jack could tell Megan was beginning to get frustrated with him, he had to change tact before she got too pissed at him. "Look, I'm sorry but it seems like we got off on the wrong foot. I'm honestly not expecting anything from you, it's just that if you stick around then I don't feel tied down to the house" He was looking straight at her as he spoke and every movement of his face seemed nothing but genuine. "I'll be respectful....promise"

"Alright." She said before finishing her sandwich. She got up and took her plate to the kitchen, washing and drying it before putting it away. Megan walked past him as she went through the living room and quickly went to the guest room she was staying in.

Jack frowned as she went to leave the room but still turned to watch her do it, she wasn't even dressed to show off her body and you could tell it was amazing. As soon as the curve of her ass disappeared from view he resolved to get her.

He went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of wine and two glasses. He knocked on the door of the guest room but didn't wait for her to answer, It is my house after all he thought as he opened the door. He smiled over at her as he held up the wine "a peace offering. I figure f you are going to stick around we can at least get to know each other a little bit"

Megan sighed "you really don't give up do you?" She asked as he handed her a glass. "I would think you would want me out of your way. You don't seem the type to want a girl hanging around." She said sitting down on the edge of the bed.

Jack pulled a chair into the centre of the room and sat opposite her "I'm just trying to be a good host". He poured wine into her glass, making sure to fill it, and then his own. "why don't a seem the type to want a gorgeous girl hanging around?" looking over at her as he takes a sip of his wine

"Because you seem like you wouldn't want other girls getting the wrong idea. If you brought a girl home tonight and she saw me hanging around she may not sleep with you." Megan said before taking a sip of her wine, being careful not to spill it.

"well I might not be going out tonight anyway and even if I did I'm sure she'd get over it. She might not even see you hanging around if I brought her straight to my room." Jack laughed as if he was joking, but he could tell that they both knew he wasn't. "What makes you think I'm that sort of guy anyway? You've only known me ten minutes"

"Our parents talk. I've heard all about you. You like to have a good time at your parents expense." She said "you don't care about being responsible or doing the right thing, you just want to have fun. That's all that matters to you."

Jack was taken aback slightly, firstly because she seemed bitter at him and he didn't even know her! Secondly because he was a bit hurt that his parents didn't seem to hold him in very high regard, but he wouldn't show that.

"That's a bit harsh, yeah I probably use their credit card for stuff I don't necessarily need but it isn't exactly hurting anyone. I like to have fun but that doesn't mean nothing else is important"

"You came home early form college. It doesn't seem like finishing this semester was important to you." She said. "You won't even own up to it and tell your parents. I'm sorry but from what I've seen you're just a spoiled rich kid."

"I came home early because I worked hard and got everything finished before the semester finished!" Jack was starting to get worked up now, who the hell was she to talk to him like that?

Jack got up and stood over her. Looking down into her eyes there was bitterness there, but was there something else? Was she just trying to get him wound up. "You're wrong about me you know! I asked you to stay because I thought you'd be cool, I wasn't expecting you to be like this"

"Really? Because I thought you asked me to stay so you could try to get in my pants. Wasn't that what the wine was for?" Megan asked "so you could get me drunk enough to go along with it?" She stood up, only inches away from him "I don't believe that you just wanted me to stay because you wanted to hangout, there are other reasons, right?"
