I'm also thinking about getting out of the city and heading towards some horses.

Darlin, the moment you step foot in Austin its going to be a genuine experience LOL

I dont know how to put it better than that. Although its been a few yrs since I've been there, there was never a dull spot or moment.

Not sure about any horses around Austin, I would suggest doing a search. I do however suggest the Hill Country. Absolutely beautiful, might find what you're looking for up there.
