I'm an Okie, but lived almost 30 years in Houston, which is where I call home. I live in NW Houston Cy-fair area.

Currently I'm working in Iraq until May '06, I can't wait to get back to Houston and have some fun. Of course anywhere would be more fun than Iraq.

Merry Christmas and Welcome Tex!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!! Have a safe holiday and a Happy New Year!!!

Welcome to our little band of craz....I mean fun folk! :nana: :nana:

Merry Christmas (hey! It's still Boxing Day, so it counts!) Everyone.

I'll be so damned glad to get back to work tomorrow. I don't have to wash dishes, cook food or clean up after people there. Maybe my hands can get back to normal by the end of the week.

Oh....and if anyone knows where I put my cellphone last night when I was bone tired, I'd appreciate a clue. I can't remember. Thanks.

Look on top of the dryer. That's where I found my gas card.

It sounds like we had similar times. I'm exhausted!

If you didn't have it on vibrate  I would suggest calling it to make it ring. :p

Way ahead of you there, Buckaroo...only it ran down right when I last finished with it (before I set it down) and smarty-pants that I am, I turned it OFF. No ringy worky. *pouts*

It is a shame that you didn't teach that cat to fetch!

How true ...especially since the cat thinks it's a dog!

This morning I woke up to find a 1/2 roll of paper towels completely SHREDDED in the middle of the living room floor. Reminded me of the work of a puppy. Only I don't have a puppy. Damned cat...

Bluebie said it must have been bored.

Perhaps you should buy the cat a puppy. I hear Pit Bulls and Rotweillers really like cats.

LOL mine doesn't mess with the TP at all actually...used to right after I got her 2 1/2 yrs ago, but not anymore - she's more to sit on the window sill and look out the window cackling at the Red Tailed Hawk sitting on the telephone pole, thinking she can go out there and catch it and eat it LOL

An Oldie But Goodie

A girl asks her boyfriend to come over Friday night and have dinner with her parents. Since this is such a big event, the girl tells him that after dinner, she would like to have sex with him for the first time. The boy is ecstatic, but he has never had sex before, so he takes a trip to the pharmacy to get some condoms. The pharmacist helps the boy for about an hour.

He tells the boy everything there is to know about condoms and sex. At the register, the pharmacist asks the boy how many condoms he'd like to buy a 3-pack, 10-pack or family pack. The boy insists on the family pack because he thinks he will be rather busy, it being his first time and all.

That night, the boy shows up at the girls’ parents’ house and meets his girlfriend at the door. "Oh I'm so excited for you to meet my parents, come on in!". The boy goes inside and is taken to the dinner table where the girl's parents are seated. The boy quickly offers to say grace and bows his head.

A minute passes, and the boy is still deep in prayer, with his head down. 10 minutes pass, and still no movement from the boy. Finally, after 20 minutes with his head down, the girlfriend leans over and whispers to the boyfriend, "I had no idea you were this religious." The boy turns, and whispers back, "I had no idea your father was a pharmacist!"

LOl.mine do that with the squirrels.. and the squerrils love to tease them by getting in the tree right next to a big picture window and come so they can hang from the trunk about two feet from the where the cats are layign inteh window, then teh suirrells run back up the tree.. it's hysterical to watch cause the squirrels know exactly what they are doing and the cats would love to have the window dissappear once.. They get so iritated..

yeah the mockingbirds here do the same thing - true to their name, they see the cat in the window looking out at them and they all go sit up on the phone line outside twitching around and flying back and forth between there and the railing outside....they haven't gotten like the sparrows and come up on the balcony...she's gone full force at the door before thinking she can get out to them, but hopefully she'll never succeed...I don't need to be paying for a brand new pane of glass out of the door (it's not the strong sliding glass door, just a regular studio door with glass from top to bottom....LOL

Sounds like you've got your work cut out for then. I can't say I envy you at all.

If you tear the house down and put in townhouses, where are you going to live?

I'm gonna buy the land next to me build 6 in phase one.. sell five and move into one.. and then tear this house down and build 6 more in phase 2.. the money I'll make selling the 11 will pay for mine..
