There are no more record stores. No one buys "albums" despite an uptick in vinyl sales. CDs are gone. iTunes isn't pulling them like they used to (I think). Millennials (and I think we're onto whatever the next phrase is for the Beat Generation) use Spotify and freakin' YouTube to listen to -- and more importantly to find -- music.

How do you Music? New music.

I bought Living in Extraordinary Times a couple of weeks back on magenta vinyl.

We've got a decent collection of music on our home server that we play through our stereo system. Many of the CDs were picked up at used bookstores. I do have some digital music purchased on Amazon or from other online sites (Kickstarters, etc.).

CDs.

The next on my list is Foo Fighters, "Concrete and Gold."

Depends on level of care. Spotify for variety and spotting new stuff, hop onto random playlists once in a while. Hi res download for things I want to keep. Very occasional vinyl if available for things I nerd out on.

Audacity comes in handy for recording web sounds.

You can mock YouTube if you want, but if you listen to music there enough their algorithms seem to be pretty decent at making suggestions. It's not perfect, though. My main complaint is their generated playlists can be a tad repetitive. Like those fuckers really get that I like birdhouse in your soul, but they can seem to grasp the fact that I don't need to hear it every fucking time I log on to fucking YouTube.

Good question. I have a ton of CDs I don't listen to except in the car but my music library is on an ipod which I run through an amp.

Not gonna lie, I don't even buy CDs anymore, just turn on YouTube video clips or MP4 We are over here jamming to a Fela Kuti song. I still have some old CDs for the car.

My dad used to have lots of vinyl records when we were little and I do love the raw sound. Hell he even had 8 tracks, lol. Those things suck.

I like the youtube music too. I don't bother to watch the videos but they run in a tab and it's background music.
