So what do you guys prefer? One extra long roller coaster ride, or multiple peaks reads separately in different sessions? I'd really appreciate feedback on this.

Lit pages are 3,500-4,000 words for two main reasons:

1: To provide quicker, more consistent, dowload times so browsers and readers don't get bogged down by longer stories

2: To provide stories in portions easily read online in one sitting.

Unfortunately, Literotica doesn't allow you to bookmark a specific location in your story to come back to if you need to stop reading for any reason.

Whether you post your story as one submission or as three submissions, you won't significantly change the number of Lit Pages it gets broken into.

My personal preference as a reader is for a single posting because it provides single link access to the entire story without having to go back to your author's page or the story list to get to the next chapter (each page of a single posting has links to the other pages of the story.)

As an author, I prefer posting multiple chapter stories in a Saturday Morning Serial format because each chapter stays on the new stories list for seven days and each new chapter keeps the whole story on the New Stories List for another week where more readers will find it and (hopefully) vote on it.

I think this is a very good point. I think you'll attract more readers if you have a posting on the "New" board frequently. If you post a chapter at a time, you'll maintain higher visibility than if you post it all at once (I think).

One thing to keep in mind with erotica, though--especially posting to a site like this. Even in novelizations, it's important to have heat in every chapter (unless you are posting something nonerotic; and it seems self-defeating to try a nonerotic novel on an erotic site anyway). You'll have difficulty maintaining readers and staving off sour public comments otherwise. Most of the erotica book publishing sites I've seen specify this in their guidelines--a sex act of some sort in every chapter.
