Look to your left!

Now to your right!

The items you see closest to each hand are all that's available for use in your next play. So, what are they, and can you MacGyver something up?

I've got a guitar strap and a pair of scissors... Too easy.

Sock monkey and a hanger?

I googled sock monkey hanger for inspiration.

LMAO :D

Extra wide black marker
Small wooden chest with small drawers.

Hmmm. I'm all for writing interesting things on interesting body parts!

Man... I got off too easy.

You two are angels for playing along with my insomnia. A rose for each of you.

:rose:

:rose:

Is this a euphemism for something you did in order to fall asleep??

Any post with "MacGyver" in it deserves a reply.

If only it was that easy.

Most things need more Richard Dean Anderson, been saying it for years.

Hmmm. There's pens, pencils, rulers, an old toothbrush and some string. Not a lot but clearly enough if you first think to lace my toes together.

A spiral bound notebook (wire)
A canister of pencils (pointy ends)
Remote controls (batteries)
And a seven month old hound dog (he's no Lassie)

Ooooh! My purse containing two pocket knives, car keys and a thumb drive.

Well, by MacGyver standards, we could invade a small country with all this ordinance. So if nothing else, we have that going for us. Someone get to work on a flag.

G loves this show.

My reply is worryingly prosaic though, I am sitting on my bed getting ready to go out for the day.
He is the nearest thing on my left, and on the right on my dressing table is a tub of body moisturiser, still open....

... Except for you, something tells me you'll be a bit preoccupied.

Notable objects to my right include scissors, a pen, a mug of fresh tea and a settee on which all these are balanced.

To my left is a single person bed....three sets of cheap broken Apple earbuds....And uh,

A book about ol' Hitler apparently.

I'm sure I could work from there.

Hmmm...sellotape, wooden ruler, bunch of grapes on one side.....scissors, paper clips of various sizes, ditto bulldog clips, an apple knife, a wire coat hanger, and a brown tape gun.

My mind's wandering now :D

On my right, tweezers, a mirror, thread, small scissors and clear tape.

on my right, ear buds and a throw pillow.

I think i could get into quite a bit of trouble with all of that.

Or jerry rig fishing line, survive for 2 days whilst signalling for help with the mirror.

A folder and a gallon of water...

Ummmmm....

I think I can only make a mess.

I'm thinking a really interesting party could happen!!

tweezers / tape / ruler / clips / more tape / pens & pencils/ a tub of moisturizer / a toothbrush / a bunch of ear buds... hmmm? and a sock monkey.

We can put them all in cascadia's chest of drawers.

... Now who's using euphemisms :D

<hijack>

Does anyone know if all those things Macgyver did would actually work in real life? I gave up chemistry studies when I was 14, so I believe anything

Some stuff was tested by the Mythbusters.

Overall, the chemistry parts are not made up, but rarely work the way displayed; like certain components will react that way, but not enough to destroy a lock, f.e. Same is true for example for the Breaking Bad bathtub scene.

^ Exactly.

While you could, for example, pick a door lock with the filament from a broken bulb, the majority of the things he did were very much exaggerated science.

...Then there's this

o_O

Tray table, napkins, a tupperware container of homemade granola
- I have no idea.

Lamp, water, remote, phone and phone cord.
- At least I have something for restraints, the lamp cord and phone cord.

I need better things to sit by me. Too bad I wasn't in the bedroom, that could have been more interesting.

Kitchen shears, small Themos, glass one cup measure, twist tie.

Large soup spoon, thin line sharpie, hand towel.

Seems like there are some good possibilities there. Use the shears to cut the towel? Mark skin or write directions?
Twist tie around a small tender part?
Thermos to contain hot or cold water for play?
Spoon to drip it slowly over????

To the right: water bottle, body lotion, phone with charger
To the left: dog bowl, blanket and dog

I think I have some useful options. Excluding the dog of course!

Left? Phone, earbuds half a slice of pizza.
Right? Empty beer bottle, lotion and tissues.

I'm stumped.
