It was also stated in the very first post that the OP wanted to have a fling with an older woman. He went out and found an older woman that wanted a fling with him, they danced at a club, fooled around on the beach, and went their seperate ways. They both had fun and got what they wanted. I think that's a very mature way of handling it.

Of course, I seriously doubt the woman that had the one night stand cared about his a "sparkling personality," either. All the ones I know that have them, treat the men (or women) like just as much of a piece of meat as the guys do. When/if she told her friends about it, she probably went into even more detail about his body. One even told me, she "doesn't care as long as it's wrapped."

Again, let me tell you this. If you don't think the OP is wrong, that's fine. But you're barking up the wrong tree arguing with me. I don't agree with you and won't agree with you. If you'll remember, I wasn't the only one who took issue with the OP's insensitive and immature attitude so singling me out every single time makes it look like you have some sort of bone to pick with me.

I will share a few observations with you on this subject from my experience. At least from my experience, women in the age range you are looking at tend to be focused on two things, career and family. Someone like yourself, who is just starting out may find those two things are difficult to understand and in order to attract an older woman you need to understand their world. To a certain extent it means developing a friendship first and then trying to develop a sexual relationship second. It also means, you may have to be the first one to take the step to let her know you find her desirable and not wait for her to give you the cues that she is interested. It maybe that she has an interest in you; however, she may feel that she is either too old for you or that you are not interested in her. In addition I have found women in the age range you are looking at, are not always looking for relationships and maybe looking for a casual encounter. By casual encounter I mean either a one-off situation or a friend with benefit situation. This is especilaly true if they still have children in the home or have children that remain single after leaving home. If you are uncomfortable with a casual encounter sitatuon and want a relationship instead you may want to reevalute your plan.

This brings me up to the next question where to look. In reality you could find her the next time you fill up your car with gas or checking out at the supermarket. The main thing to do is to be socialable, upfront, honest, and to be supportive. If you can do that and give it some time then I am confident you will be successful.

Older women are generally more easier to approach during social atmospheres like a party or benefit...where the focus is on having a good time and where they have a reason to wear their best. In my experience I notice that older women enjoy being treated with respect, yet enjoy keeping it light...wit, intelligence, and humor is probably a young guy's strongest suit in attracting an older female (at least the classy ones). They are typically more guarded about shenanigans and don't generally respond the way younger women do when guys try to "take 'em down a notch" and then lure them in by retarded mind games...as they won't even think about handing over power. At the same time, they love being graciously regarded in the form of honoring them with good manners, properly addressing them, and (I know this sounds dumb) but helping them with something. I have frequently gotten signals of attraction from older women because I assisted them without blinking, letting them know that they are doing ME a favor by allowing me to lend a hand and I expect nothing in return. Direct eye contact. Smile. No sullen looks...and especially zero sloppy attire...hip-hop baggy clothes, or stupid hats...the way their shithead kids dress. I'm talking sharp dress and a charming demeanor. An available woman would enjoy that sort of company...a married one might call over her daughter to meet you.

And there you go with the name calling again...hardly an adult thing to do. Here's a hint for arguing in a grown up way: Criticize over substantive things and attack arguments and positions, not the person behind them. What you are doing is called arguing ad hominem, I suggest you look it up. Mean names may work on the playground, but will give you no credibility in real world situations.

Also, when you call me arrogant, keep in mind I'm not the one attempting to impose my view regarding a consensual interaction on anyone.

Anyhow, I'm busy moving into school and helping new students settle in so I won't be around as much as I have been in the past week. Anyone who has meaningful advice keep it coming. Even if this thread isn't directly relevant to me at the moment any more, I am sure there are some useful insights to be gained for anyone else in my situation if they manage to sift through the barrage of criticism.
