hi,
My DH has some issues with keeping an erection for a while after i get him right where i want him. He also has a hard tim staying fully erect. He is overweight, and borderline diabetic. barring medication, any suggestions? We already do TONS of Foreplay. :nana: :cathappy:

He needs to talk to his/a doctor, period. It sounds like treating his medical problems will be the first course of action, and he and his doctor can decide if an ED treatment like medication is appropriate for his problem and health profile.

What can you do? Convey your concern in a loving, non-pushy way, and make sure he sees a doctor about this. If he's not concerned, he should be - his borderline diabetes could lead to permanent damage and dysfunction in the future. Then, support him through the prescribed treatment(s), be it getting healthy or trying other things. Be open to medications for ED and diabetes, as it's silly to turn away from treatments to problems that can seriously impact one's quality of life.

The bottom line is that this is something to be dealt with by health professionals, not a group of strangers on an adult website. It's good to ask for suggestions, but you and your husband must be willing to follow up on the common sense ones if you want a chance at resolving this in a real, safe, healthy way. :)

SE is absolutely right about this. An inability to remain erect is usually due to problems with blood pressure and/or circulation.

Have him see a doctor. It's the most loving thing you can possibly do for him.

at the very least
get him exercising
if he gets healthy that'll at least reduce the problems of circulation
and yes
get him to see a doctor
if he doesn't, cut him off - that'll get him moving to the doctor's office

I'm certain you'd rather him go to a doctor and be embarrassed than what might happen otherwise

Everyone seems to be correct--this isn't an issue that will be solved here on the forums. I'd definitely suggest consulting a physician ASAP and get things in order...better off finding a long term solution versus a temprary fix.

Best of luck to you guys...
