How to pick the best rabbit vibrator?

Hey folks...needing some feedback here.

I'm in the market for a rabbit for the significant other. (not the type that eats carrots, but batteries instead)

After getting a eyeful of the possibilities, I realized I'm at a complete loss.

I want something durable that can stand repeated use without breaking, and doesn't have too many features on it. Some options are ideal but I've seen a couple with more choices on it than a menu at a restaurant. I know my significant other well enough to know that too many choices like that would end up turning her off to using the thing, ever.

I'm looking to keep it under $100 in USD, if possible. That's not necessarily a make-or-break factor however.

Do any of you folks who have experience with these things have any recommendations, tips or advice in purchasing one of these?

If so, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance.

I'd go for something like this one. It's silicone (a hygienic, non-porous, material that doesn't contain irritating chemicals), waterproof (for fun in the shower and easy cleaning), has rotating beads (much better than the ones that "pop" around), and it takes 3 AA batteries (the absolute minimum for a toy like this). And it's priced reasonably - there's really no point in spending a ton on any vibe because they all die. Actually, some of the cheapest and simplest ones last the longest!

Plus, A&E has good specials via Google and its homepage (I think they're giving $10 off for new customers right now) and an unparalleled satisfaction guarantee, so if you wife doesn't enjoy it for whatever reason(s), you can exchange or return it without a problem. I always suggest comparison shopping based on total price (including shipping), but if you find the prices are similar, the guarantee is really nice to have. Just make sure you opt-out of any mailings from A&E when you sign up if you don't wish to receive such things in your mailbox and/or inbox.

Bunny

Personally, I think the plain jane bunny is the best. All the other bells and whistle just don't really add much to the experience.

Thanks for the input you two. :) I really do appreciate it. The more I looked at these things originally the more I became completely bewildered. Vibrating shaft or rotating shaft? Multiple settings? Clitoral stimulator or not?

Wait what?? (lol)

Thank you for the feedback...I never realized just how MANY varieties of these things are out there. Ho-leeee crap.

There are vibrators out there that hook up to an iPhone or Mp3 player. It vibrates to the beat of any song. I was very sceptical of this added feature. I got a chance to see one in action at a store. I have to say it was a real turn on. With the right kind of music, the bunny ears moving... Well you get the picture.;)

I know it can be overwhelming, especially when you're choosing a gift! I don't advocate really fancy or expensive vibes, but from everything I've read (and I've read A LOT of guides and reviews on rabbits and other vibes!), this should be your shopping list:

-A rotating shaft (the aim of that is to hit the g-spot and other sensitive spots; the vibration this type of toy provides will not be sufficient to provide good stimulation).

-Rotating beads. The rabbits I've had have not had the rotating variety because they were super cheap (yet they lasted 5+ years!), but they can provide great stim to the area near the vaginal opening/sensitive 1/3 of the vagina.

- A GOOD "bunny ear" clit stimulator. This is probably the most important part of the toy for women who enjoy clit stim.

- Multi-speed, for sure. She will learn what works for her and be able to do it by touch alone in no time. Now I'm actually a fan of the corded controller that comes of the cheap rabbits that take 3 C batteries (vs. the type on the bottom of most toys), and I've been very happy with just one button for rotation and another for vibration, but I have heard great things about pulsation modes and such. I wouldn't buy a toy just for the "modes" but if variety comes with the toy that looks best, there's no harm done.

- A non-toxic material that can be cleaned properly (pthalate-free "jelly" trumps regular "jelly," but pure silicone trumps them both if the toy is waterproof or washable). You definitely do not want a cyberskin-type material, and many types of "jelly [rubber]" have strong chemical odors and emissions that can irritate delicate tissues. Because of your budget, you might as well go with a waterproof silicone model, which won't have the chemical issues and will allow you to wash it properly. Then you don't have to worry about bacteria growing in its pores either.

- At least 3 AA batteries, and go ahead and invest in a couple of sets of rechargeables so you always have extras on hand and save a ton of money on batteries. Less than 3 AA can not power everything properly, and it's always better to have a stronger vibe that can be toned down than a weaker one that leaves you frustrated.

- You're right, the fewer unnecessary features and gimmicks, the better. Go for solid features that have a proven track record, rather than gimmicks (like USB or MP3-controlled).

I think the one I linked to has all of the features that will come in handy and maximize your wife's pleasure. However, definitely do some research with those above points in mind and read lots of reviews from multiple sites. Also, if you narrow it down to a short list of models that look good to you, come post the links to them here and we can help you pick out the one that's likely going to be your best bet.
