I use the steam room at the gym every day of the week. I love the damn thing, it cures hangovers, releases stress, makes your skin feel good, clears your pores, the sauna doesn't even compare.

Are there any ways I can prep my body right before I go in to increase the wonderful effects? So far I make sure I'm well hydrated throughout the day so that I can afford to sweat in their and also I cover myself and my towel with luke warm water before I go in.

Any oils or soaps or moisturizers I could put on before hand? And finally, someone told me that the way to really use it properly is to stand in ICE COLD shower water for a minute before you enter. I will only do that if anyone can back up this theory.

Thanks

I've never been a big fan of steamrooms. The saunas seem to flush a helluva lot more toxins from the body than the steamroom. Steamrooms to me put water into the body, like boiling a potato, versus roasting a potato and forcing the liquid and toxins out! It's hydrating toxins Vs. flushing toxins!

Go with the sauna! The dripping water from the ceiling also sux!
