How Were Your High School Years?

I didn't live down to other people's expectations. Wasn't supposed to go to college (got a Bachelors in electrical engineering), did a few NYC Marathons, VP of an engineering startup company. My classmates think that I died homeless.

Going down memory lane and thinking of my high school days.

I do recall the time I got stoned and called in sick. That didn't work out so well so far as school went. The next day Ms Whatshername gave me that "I know it was you" look.

Also, my GF at the time became my wife. Boy did she set me straight.

Now she (my wife) passed on a few yrs ago. I miss her still.

All the regular high schools sucked. Adult HS wasn't so bad because only people who WANTED to be there, were there, But high schools in decaying burbs and prison towns were sub-optimal. Well, in that prison-town HS I had two friends. One was a chemistry freak; together, we blew up toilets. One was the son of the mayor, who made a point of befriending EVERYONE, and that's why he's a state senator now. He even let me play his violin. Badly.
