Guidance today and tonight has shifted east for the most part, FLA panhandle or even western FLA peninsula.

Some bring in a pretty strong hurricane day 5-6 seeing 950-960 mb,now is the time to prepare.

I'd say there's a very good chance they'll be a storm in the gulf in 7-9 days.

Could be TX,could be FLA,could be in between somewhere.

Lot of helicopters coming over, hear one every hour or two.It's pretty bad just west of here.

Conditions are just favorable for hurricanes right now.

Ongoing La Nina with a favorable MJO phases coming around (8,1,2)which leads to good vertical motion(rising air)and above average sea surface temperatures.

If i were in the Tampa area,I would seriously think about getting out and evacuating,especially if the eye goes a bit north of there that puts you in the stronger side of it.

The NHC track is bringing it in south of Tampa,but what has me concerned right now is the hourly HRRR model runs bringing the eye right into Tampa.

May have to adjust.

Hard to say but you are getting down to 15-20 miles of coastline. This often happens but could be big difference going south with lesser storm surge for Bay but more destruction inland. It probably is not going to be real good.
