Lets say your sub told you there are no limits and you can do absolutely anything you want. Also, assume there would be no consequences (legal or otherwise) for your actions, no matter how extreme. Lets also assume that the sub is someone you have no emotional attachment toward such as a spouse or significant other. What would you do? Just curious.

The thing is, I can't really relinquish the minimal "emotional attachment" that would come from remembering that this is a human being. But I could go there if the sub suggested that that's what s/he was looking for, the complete no-limits scenario.

And the rest of the time, I'd be looking for a more personal slave, a sort of "gentleman's gentleman" with benefits. So it would be not so much housework as a focus on me - polish the boots, dress me, bring me stuff, massage, run the bath, that sort of thing.

Have to agree. We have had subs who have presented themselves in just this way...we avoid them, after giving them a little mental exercise as to just what they might be doing by offering such a situation to someone they are not involved with, and know very little as a person.

exactly.. I'm not promoting the idea of limitless scenes.. I was just curious how far people would take things if there were no limits.. humans are bloodthirsty creatures.. we always have been.. from ancient gladiatorial combat, to modern day horror movies..

I've read a lot of stories that go way beyond the limits of typical S/M relationships.. so sometimes I wonder if the typical S/M type things such as spankings, bondage, etc. are just a substitute for a lot more extreme stuff that people would really like to be doing..

Yeah. You keep saying no consequences, and I keep wondering how, even in a fantasy, this coul dbe accomplished. If I slit it's throat, I have a mess to clean up and body to dispose of. If I break it's leg, I hobbled around and whines a lot. If I stitch it's mouth shut, I have to figure out some way to get it sustenance.

I just don't accept the magical idea of no consequence. Most people see this as no legal/societal consequence, but I still se econsequences in having to deal with the wreckage afterwards, as well as deal with the possibility of lessening the usefullness and worth of my no limits slave.

Like I said, I like my fantasies to be plausible. So if my fantasies includes tying, I tend to imagine my hands getting tired, or my shoulders starting to burn from overhead work. That sort of thing. The plausibility reinforces the image, makes it more real, complete.
