Yes Dolf's AV's almost makes weeding through the GB for something I want to read worth the trouble. I do get tired of the americans that bash america, but I just ignore them any more.

Thos guys are hella annoying.

I advise you, put anyone who only spouts this tripe on Ignore and it will make GB a much more pleasant read. Heck, I had to do this in the Authors Hangout.

The GB moves WAY too fast for me, too. Besides there are so many people that it takes forever to find out who comes regular, a bit about how they live, the kind of stuff you find out by reading posts and remember with only few people around.
Besides, since most posters live in my past everyone posts most things in their evenings and nights, which for me is like between 2 and 6 in the morning, so I sleep. I do manage to keep up with the BDSM-board again in the morning, but once or twice coming here per day is enough to do so.
I do have a life besides the internet (I need to study too much ) so spending more time isn't really an option.

Though not a regular here, just a lurker because I'm not into the lifestyle myself, I just wanted to say that I also find the BDSM boards to have some of the friendliest, most intelligent folks on them, and the conversations, even when not about BDSM are generally more interesting and well thought-out from my POV than some of the other areas of Lit.

I've been lurking here for about two months, first to learn more about BDSM from a "real person" perspective rather than that presented in books, and to educate myself about how some of the mental aspects work for those who identify as Dom or Sub. My husband is taking his first steps down the Dom path with a Sub who is not me, and I've really appreciated the various points of view that I've found here that have helped me to lay to rest some of the misconceptions I had about BDSM before joining Lit.

I myself rarely ever stray from the BDSM boards. I poke my nose into the GB for a min but quickly get annoyed by the extreme idiocy I encounter in the first 3 threads I look at...so, I return to where I actually enjoy reading what people have to say.

I hadn't even been to the GB before until I saw this thread and decided to go see what everyone was talking about. I was horrified. This poor guy asked a truly serious question about his girl and vaginal bleeding. The guy is from China so the english wasn't great, but you could understand what he was trying to get too.

Two whole pages of mocking his english and telling dick jokes. Not a single serious answer to a serious question.

I think that's very sad.

I was thinking about finding out if someone from the boards is missing, if they know more, or different things, so I started reading a thread started on the GB on the terrorist attacks in London today. It didn't even take 3 pages before someone started being an arrogant jerk not caring about the very real worries of those mostly Londoners... Very sad...

Yeah, there are some real jerks on the GB, just there to start problems, guess they have no life. But whatever I'm gonna bounce through threads looking for info on London too, I just heard. Stupid Al Qaida.
