I agree... I just got my Kindle as a gift from my BF and his best friend (Its what i use to access literotica since I've no laptop) and its awesome to be able to have a large selection of books in one place and to be able to take it with me whereever I go, I've not let go of it in like a week lol and I'm also using it to store the stuff I have written in the past..... but man.... its just not the same, its awesome.... but it doesn't smell the same... and I miss the texture of the paper.... and the thrill of anticipation as you turn a page.

I would like to buy a kindle but where i live the e-books for it are too expensive right now ... think i would not miss the feeling of a "real" book

I think the whole book v. e-book debate has no right or wrong.... as long people are reading, all is good. I read shampoo bottles while I condition ( or just sing obnoxiously into them :/ )

i'm in a book club, and it's interesting to see how some of the members are switching to e-books and the other half (myself included) refuse to go electronic.

there's no substitute for holding a real book in your hand

Perhaps you'd also like to know that I decided to learn to skateboard one night at 3am... I was in bed (naked) getting ready to sleep and then I decided that I must learn at that very moment... I got on the skateboard... rolled about 3 inches and then proceeded to fall flat on my (naked) ass and hit my head on the closet door as the skateboard shot across the room and knocked over one of my potted plants. Oh yeah... I'm sexy ;]

When given the choice, I'll always choose a real book, but the kindle was a gift, a very thoughtful one and it puts so many book I would've never had acess to right at my fingertips. I'm a fan of both. I just like reading and learning stuff.
