See if you can get small jewellery through. If it hurts, don't force it, that will do more harm than good. Try using lubricant or something (not vaseline not vaseline not vaseline!! ky works pretty well though) to get it through. If it won't go, you would probably have to get it re-pierced. The second time hurts more because of scar tissue, but it's still really not bad.

Thanks for the suggestions!...I'm such a chicken about it though...But I really want it back. I'll try the smaller jewelry then see what happens. *gulp*....

Thanks again :)

My only hesitation is that I like to sing, and I have noticed that people with piercings seem to talk like they have a speech impediment afterward.

Perhaps its just part of the healing process, or size of the ring.
You dont have to show the world, or lisp.
No problem for me, 2 tongue studs for 5 years.
The first 2 years at work no-one even noticed, and I worked in ICU as a team leader and communication was a major part of my job .
And I had it done the morning before an evening shift, I just sucked a lot of ice to keep the swelling down.

And I have been told I have a large tongue, and have ample room for 2 more.

One of the anaesthestists even referred to one of my friends as that freaky nurse with "that thing in her tongue", until I showed him mine. Ignorant pig.

Breast feeding is no issue as long as they dont pierce down low into to the areola, (thats where the milk ducts lead into the nipple tract.)
Imagine you are piercing just the teat and not the neck of the bottle.
