I made a commitment..can't chicken out now

two of my friends had their tongues done ... omg ... the pain and swelling was sooo gross, one girl couldn't eat for a week her tongue was so swollen.

the other friend had to take the stud out after a month cause it got infected and wasn't healing.

I would go for the belly but skip the tongue

Sorry, but I don't have any piercings so I can't help you from a personal viewpoint. That being said my wife had her belly button pierced not too long ago and it is doing well. It does take a lot of care on her part but it looks good with no infection. (She said it felt like a very mild Bee Sting.)

Haven't had my tongue done, but having my belly button pierced was a breeze - lots less than the cartilage in my ear - LOTS.

Just keep it VERY clean (antibacterial soap 5 times a day, at least), and try to keep your hands off it. I changed the ring in mine after two weeks.

but then, I also fell asleep while I was getting my last tattoo....

Dar I'm sorry that happened to you I'll be careful my pain tolerance is pretty good, I did give birth, what could be worse? But , I am a chicken until I'm forced to do something. I guess I'm afraid if I wait I'll talk myself out of it .
