I want a tattoo!!

the small of woman's back is perhaps the most underrated spot on the planet.

a tat there says, "i really like getting fucked from behind...."

I agree with you there. On BOTH points.

Well, I have a few tats one of a unicorn which is pretty common and a Gothic cross and the typical heart and rose together with names in them (mind you never get a name be on there for life I learned that (lol) and I have a arm band, make sure you get the tat that you really want cause it will be on your body for a long time. :D

A Gothic cross seems nice.
Yes, I love mine looks gr8 apart from family telling me it's not feminine. (lol) :)

With a tattoo, make sure that it is what you want, where you want it and that it has some meaning to it. Also think about how it will look in the future.

There are so many women (esp. teenaged girls) sporting tats on the small of their back in my area.

I have one on my tailbone...a small, black tribal butterfly (which I designed myself). Now, every girl has one! So eventually I'm going to draw something to add to it to make it unique once again.

I also have one on the back of my neck, which gets rave reviews from men. It's a black celtic-knotwork shamrock. It goes from my hairline to the top of my spine. It's very simple and feminine. Apparently, my neck is "long and graceful" and men find it sexy, so the tat is a real bonus for them!

I plan on getting a few more...when I get married, a claddaugh anklet is a must. I'm waffling on the other few I want, though.

Um - I know that every girl has 'em nowdays, but I must tell you something at the risk of pissing off everyone else here...

(looks around)

I like smooth, supple, unmarked skin much better... Tattoos (especially if done badly) tend to make me think "trailer-trash biker bitch"...

I agree (mostly). Tattoos are like piercings. A few are fine (and maybe a bit of a turn on), but taken too far and it is kind of creepy.

I remember seeing a participant on Fear Factor who had a lot of piercings (like 7 on her left ear, 3 on her right, left nostril, middle nostril divide, three in her left eyebrow...). She looked fine with them in. But when they were out she looked a lot better...

But we all have our own idea of what is right for us.

No matter what you do, I suggest you try buying a bunch of temporary tattoos first and wearing one on the same spot (to simulate having a tattoo) for a few weeks or longer.

i really want to get a tattoo, but the fact that it will stay on my body for a lifetime is scarying me. I mean i have to really like the disaign because i and my partner will end up watching it every day. therefore before getting one i would suggest making a facke one. you know the ones they paint on your body and see on which part of your body it looks the best, how much do you enjoy it being on your body and only then getting a real thing.

heck ya a tattoo on the lower back is a target and sexy to. i have two it just takes awhile to decide what to get because its there when your done. come to port huron to personel image and talk to a guy name gene they do real good work.

tbon makes something of a good point (even if unintentionally).

A Tattoo is a big deal, you might want to treat it like getting a getting costmetic surgery and try to find the best artist (and not just the closest one). If you are going to have something forever on your body, you want the best people to put it there.

As virtually everyone her who has one will tell you, if you get a tattoo make certain it is something you are prepared to see for the rest of your life, and make sure that it carries a good meaning/positive vibe/whatever terminology suits you for you'll still be OK with wearing it when you're someone's 80 year old grandma.

Personally I have three butterflys of differing designs and colors high on my left shoulder. They represent each of my three daughters. I know tons of people have butterflys done these days but to me they seemed an ideal symbol as each butterfly was done after my daughters were born. They have meaning and symbolism to me and so I know I won't mind looking at them for the rest of my life.

My two other bits of advice are #1 think carefully about where you put them. Not just for pain reasons- over bone will hurt more then anywhere- but also for employment purpouses. Alot of places won't hire you if you have a tat that is distracting, potentially offensive or in some cases just plain visible in normal dress. I know where I live for example teachers cannot have any visible tats or body modifications. It may not seem important now, but remember that you'll wear this thing for the rest of your life and your career paths may change as you mature. #2 Make sure you do your homework on the shop that does your ink. You want to make sure their artists are licensed, their equipment is properly sterilized and the artists are reputable. Tattoing is an art and you don't want some guy with the finesse of a third grader digging into your epidermis.
