IC: Eye of Night (Please see OOC for info)

"to be honest i have no idea why i came to the mall i just had a notion to do it so i did" He replied popping the book back into his pocket he was beggining to feel more comfortable in th presence of the youg girl " i should try a cinammon bun sometime" he said with a smile.

Autumn nodded "you really should try one. They are quite delicious. Almost sinfully so" she shrugged her eyes sparkling "So Walker, what do you do?" she leaned forward slightly curious about this quiet and uncomfortable man.

"im a private detective nothing too interesting what about you what do u do?" he asked moving his wide brimmed hat from the table to the seat next to him as his coffee was placed infront of him. Nodding his thanks he looked back at Autumn waiting for her reply.

Autumn hesitated "Actually I don't really have a job, I'm more freelance if you will. Family money doesn't require me to work. Though I do do alot of voluteering at various places." She shrugged unsure of his reaction. Most people immediatly judged her as the spoiled rich girl. Resenting her for her ability to do as she wished without worrying about money. Tensely she awaited his reaction.

Walker nodded noting the worried expression she wore "thats interesting there are few lucky people in the world who get to do that" he smiled "dont look so worried im not the type that judges people you do what you like who cares what people think about it" He now felt felt more comfortable around the girl, though did not know why ti was jsut something about her that he couldnt put his finger on. He decided he liked her.

Autumn smiled liking this man more and more. "So Mr. Detective, do you do anything for fun? other then read in the middle of the mall of course" she leaned forward slightly a palyful light in her eyes.

"you know sarcasm doesnt suite you" he smiled "i cant say i do much no" he said his eyes downcast he was closely examining his plastic cup he didnt like to talka bout hims self so he returned the question "how about u apart from buying ure weekly bun what else do u liek to do?"

Autumn shrugged "I take Martial arts classes though I've already ahcieved the highest rank." she said without a hint of bragging. "Other then that I come to the mall, or spend time at orphanages with the children and play games." Sheblushed "I'm really not as saintly as I sound though." she added as an afterthought. Many people seemed to think she was a goody two shoes but she really wasn't. Changing the subject "So how is a handsome man like you not married?" she asked her smile once again playful and little flirtatious.

He took a deep breathe and said "i...was...she died a few years back" he recalled the memories of that day and felt a lump rising in his throat "i have to use the bathroom" he said quickly rising and walking towards the toilets.

Autumn frowned sensing his withdrawel. She watched him walk towards the bathroom worried that he didn't plan on returning. For some reason she really liked this man, she didn't want him to leave on such a sour note. Standing up she hurried and caught up with him. Almost shy now "Walker I'm sorry for touching on such a sore subject. I hope you are not upset with me. I was relaly enjoying our conversation." she said softly.

Walker looked down at her and smile she was genuinly sypathetic
"Its fine" he said "i just...i find it hard to talk about it im not angry with you at all, but i really have to use the bathroom" he lied and strode inside he scooped two pills out of his bottle and swallowed them coming out he walked back to the table where autumn sat.

Autumn smiled warmly welcoming him back. IT was strange how quickly she had grown to like this man. He seemed troubled, and so alone. "I'm glad your not angry with me" she ran a hand through her hair. "So what were you reading befoer I so rudely interrupted?" she asked playfully.

"no im not angry, the book i was reading was Fatherland on of my favourites" he smiled "and im glad u interrupted ive read it too many times" he added "so what are your plans for the day?" he asked.

Autumn shrugged, "I don't have any yet..." she trailed off winking at him "how about you? Any plans?"

He smiled "i planned to sit and read" he said takinga sip of coffee. "so no, no plans anymore"

Autumn's smile grew wider "well then it's settled. You and I shall do something together.." she bit her lip in concentration. "hmm what should we do .... any ideas?"

"I was thinkin about going over to the record store. If your not doing anything perhaps you could help me pick something. Its my nephews birthday in a few days and i have no clue about this modern day music" He said with a smile.

Autumn nodded smiling then stood up straitening her skirt. "I would be delighted to help you out. Lead the way" she said her eyes meeting his. He really was a good looking man.

ooc: sorry i havent posted in a while, been busy.

Ic: he quickly glanced away as there eyes met and stood gathering his coat and hat he walked toward the record store. Stopping at the door to let Autumn catch up he smiled and held the door open so she could enter.

Autumn noticed him avoid her eyes. Interesting.. she thanked him when he held the door open. "So what type of music are you looking for?" She asked purposely brushing against him as she entered the store.
