Just putting this out here to put the abortion issue in PERSPECTIVE:
If humans reproduced by laying eggs -- like Edgar Rice Burroughs' Martians/Barsoomians -- then anyone who did not wish one to hatch would step on it.
Since this would require no professional services or expertise, the practice would be entirely normal and commonplace in every human culture.
Therefore, there would be no moral controversy at all about egg-stomping -- except perhaps among the kind of extreme Buddhists who won't step on a bug.
