Ok, maybe short people live longer, but I so don't see that they have less stress on them. I have to stretch to reach everything, and if no one's around I gotta climb on a ladder, which I normally fall off of. Not to mention how much it pisses me off when people put things I use on a regular basis on the top shelf. When I'm sitting on a standard chair my feet don't touch, which makes mey back arch, and my toes go to sleep. I gotta walk faster to keep up with long legged people, and when I'm in a public people walk right into me and don't even apologize. Know why? Cause I'm below their vision, so that means that evidently I'm not important enough to be polite too. Plus, I read somewhere that short people are less likely to be hired for a job, and get, on average, payed less than tall people. Franky, my sis is 5'2", and whenever she goes to apply for a job she wears heals, cause she knows it'll up her chances of getting hired.

Nah, sore spot. I hate being shorter than everyone, especially with my arthritis. It hurts me to have to reach things, and the steps on my stool hurt me, too. Plus it seriously pisses me off when people walk into me and don't say sorry. Quite frankly, it hurts when they do that, not to mention it's freaken rude. What, because I'm short I don't count? Luckily I have K, and when I'm holding hands with him, people go around. He's one of those people who looks pissed even when he's in a great mood. I've jsut gotten to where I won't go into crowded places without him. I just end up so mad that I don't have any fun.

It comes down to cell reproduction and organ function....tall people have more stress applied to those functions simply because of their height...heart has to pump blood further etc. Always reminds me why I am happy to be the height I am even if I now live in the land of super tall people where I often feel dwarfed and can't reach the upper shelves in the supermarket. They want to look down on me I can return their look with a secretive, knowing smile...evil, I know.

Arg. I have the exact opposite problem with my feet. I wear a 9 1/2. You'd be surprised the looks that gets me. I've been accused of lying about my shoe size. Yeah, cause I have so little to do with my time that I am going to lie about that. Also with feet like that, finding shoes that don't make me look like big foot is a royal pain in the . . . well you get the idea.

And I don't think I'm having a bad day, but as tired as I am I might be. I miss K. *sigh*

...lol... I'm petite as well ( about 158 cm with a great effort of fantasy !! ) but on here (as you said ) I can indulge in my shoe -shopping passion without any problem at all , they have any kind of shoes without problems of sizes !

I like nice leather gloves. My grandmother gave me a pair that go over my elbows made of soft leather..... I simply worship them, and they are so suitable for kinky evening outfits.
I still didnt manage to find the driving kind in my size, but I would love to have them.
And somehow I am used to have leather ones when I go horse riding..... I feel I can get a better grip on the rains with them.

Think skeletal stress as opposed to mental stress. Longer bones tend to endure more stress than shorter bones, making them more prone to stress. This stress tends to put more stress on muscles and then it winds down to the involuntary muscles and organs - they grow tired to feed them. That's how I see it.

And I have been there a lot, almost every holiday I could spare.
