Oh wow. That's odd - I've never used the New Posts option. I just cruise threads I've already posted in and then have a browse around. I can imagine New Posts would be a scatter gun of poop.

It can be. I like the New Post function because I see things I'm interested in that I may not have searched out. But my perv scrolling gets mucked up by some dumb political crap and throws off my vibe.

One of my problems with it is that I thought this was kind of a no judgement place. We all have seen posts about some kink or what ever that we're not into or don't like, and the adult thing to do is scroll past it. The PB board shames some of those things and makes the whole site feel less safe for open exploration of one's self.

Hmm... the site is free and run largely by a few unpaid Mods. Unless you want a members-only paid-for service with nice chatrooms then we've gotta put up with using iggy.

Since the November election I've made a point of telling Google News & YT 'Don't recommend channel' to any vaguely right wing media spout. My life is much nicer, but I had to make an effort to change the content.

If you start arbitrarily policing the content of the forums you risk upsetting some users who'll accuse the management of over-reach and censorship ( which some trolls do already ). Anyhow, I've maybe been at Lit too long because this is an old discussion. The best thing Lit did was to create the PB and boot the assholes out of the GB.

It really has no place here. Nothing about the name of this site implies that there would be anything political here. Unless there was a story about two political opposites hate fucking (which could be kind of hot).

Still curious why a politics board existed. Even SpaceBattles had one (although they're more left than center).
