Illusion Vale (OOC)

Jay and Becca are both sweet and adorable characters. I hope however Kat ends up she doesnt have to be mean to any of them. But we shall see.

Thanks :)

I hope Kat ends up not mean either, but I think either way, she'll be fun to interact with :D

Well when I was first reading the thread before joining ,,just something ornery in me was like,,sheesh they dont have any "bad" creatures,,so yeah the mean little me will probably have to come out. And yes Jay better learn to run fast Fell wants to make him to glue and poor Asterion isnt real sure what he wants. but the evil side is winning.

Well *hint hint* I am taking Jay to Vakare.

And, if he ever gets back on, Than. :D

I also have to say one thing though.

For all my work and things that I've done, this thread would still not work if not for the writers in it. You give this thread life in a way that I never dreamed possible. You interact with my world and you keep on continuing to and for that I am grateful.

It wouldn't be nearly as successful a thread if I were the only one writing it :D

Yeah--we definately needed bad guys or at least morally ambiguous ones

Everyone who opted for these kinds of characters have done a really good job so far :D

Well now dont know about all of you,but its the curve balls that seem to make life so much more interesting. Lmao,,without them it would be entirely too easy to plod straight through without seeing anything around us.

LOL, throw away Mantra, throw away!

I like it when my writer's show a little initiative. And don't worry about crossing any lines or stepping on any toes. If you do, I'll let you know about it. But the people in this thread are really good with that. At least they know the difference between fantasy and fantasy!

So! Keep those curve balls a comin!

As for Jay getting out of the forest... I did send you a PM regarding that. Could you kindly answer? LOL

Too true... For anyone whose actually followed my characters through the various threads...I don't make 'super characters'. There's no challenge in them.

The best characters are flawed characters.

Ya mean like being a horse?

Then being a horse that can't run? :D

Then there's... wait a minute...that's still a secret..... *shhh*

I thought I had answered... but....

No we don't have to rush, especially if you had a plan for something to happen to Jay while in the woods, other than that, if we want to jump a day or three ahead, then that would be ok...

I just keep wondering, is there anything else in the forest besides them?

(considering just how well Jay has reacted to new things so far...)

*nods* exactly. Both Angelus and I love flawed characters. They are just so much more interesting and challenging to write. You really don't need a character that has already been developed. Its... useless and boring. What's the point?

Also, Mantra. You did answer me, just then LOL *sticks tongue out*

Anyway, you may have hit the nail on the head with something else in the forest... but... *wanders off*

Anyway, I shall choose in the next post. It depends what some others do. :D

Also, as lovely as this has been, I fear that my bed (and Angelus) is calling to me and I must answer. :rose:

So, in a few minutes, I'll be going off to bed. I will say good night to you all now though :D

*huggles all around and waves* Night!

Okee dokee--Laundry and other domestic stuff becons :p

Wolfy, a pleasure as always *hugs*

Mantra--it was good to see you :D *hugs* Enjoy your vacay when it comes up!

Lynx--it was good to see you around here again!

Take care everone, and have a good one :D

Yes unfortunately all good things must end,,Good Night/Day to all as well,,off to do the Mommy thing again.

I dont generally write evil characters. I have reasons, most of them are not fit for this forum. I try to base my characters off some facet of myself. Im sure most of you have noticed several distinct trademarks of my characters. I try hard not to make my characters perfect, which is part of the reason i base them off myself. Michael in particular is most like me of any of my characters. So if anyone cares to know me intimately, the best way is to read what i write, even if my grammar is shit sometimes lol.

I have three favorite characters that ive ever written. Two of which are in threads by the amazin' aussie attack of wolfy and angelus.
I really like my character of Ahrimand in Immortals war. He's the first truely evil character ive ever written, and even though thats hard for me, i really enjoy writing from the perspective of one so incredibly ancient. He is completely without fear, not even out of foolishness or machismo, but just because he's seen so much, and done so much that he has no concept of fearing harm from another.
I also really like Captain Ren, from my own thread, A Pirates Life For Me. He's blithely arrogant and completely self assured. He's crass, crude, violent (i daresay even bloodthirsty), and consumed with hatred. But there is an undercurrent of him i try to do justice too, the undercurrent of sadness and honour, his sense of shame and inadequacy due to his failure to protect his home, his family, and his crew.
My favorite though, and this may sound like disingenuous due to this being in wolfy's thread, but they know me well enough, i daresay, to know that i say what i mean and mean what i say, is Michael from Illusion Vale. He's tormented by the things he has done, because he was trapped in a life he knew no way out off. He seeks to save the Vale and in so doing save some portion of his humanity, even if he must not be human to do it. I also like his fierce loyalty and love for Sila, to the point where he will stand against the entirety of creation to protect her.

anyway, I dont rightly know why i wrote that whole thing, but yea. Perhaps its the celtic music in my ear, or the whiskey. Sorry to go on and on like that.

I honestly have to say that I like all the characters that you mentioned Ren. Every one of them is different in their own way but they are all brilliantly written. I am not trying to be a kiss ass but I am being blunt and honest here. Your characters one here are some of the best I have read and for a person who doesn't like to write as a villain you play it so well.

There is only one question I have for you though.

What is a villain if not someone else's perspective on things?

Exactly.

Who's to say that Ahrimand is not the good character in my thread? It is all a matter of perspective.
