Immigration Policy

The majority of illegal immigrants in the UK didn't smuggle themselves across borders.

They entered perfectly legally as students, tourists, or visiting their family members.

They stayed after their permission to visit expired.

We have the sea around us. That doesn't stop legal visitors staying to become illegal immigrants.

That's how most of the ones in the U.S. got here as well. Hell, this was known back in 2006.

The number of illegal immigrants has been steadily dropping. Build a wall, and they'll all be forced to stay.

LMAO... Sure, quote some stats from when obama's dumb ass was in office. The numbers jumped up massively when it was clear that the cunt-in-running had lost. Build a wall, and the illegal flow will slow massively.

Why does anyone have an issue with keeping ILLEGAL aliens out of the country?

I just don't get it...

Liberal socialist assholes want more illegals to vote for their bleeding hearts. It's not legality, it's about the votes.

Illegal immigration is an economic problem, and should be controlled by economic means. Start jailing those employing, and exploiting them and you would see the numbers decline significantly.

Yes I'm looking at you Donald! :)

Word! We wouldn't have a problem with illegal immigration if it wasn't for the people enabling them. If you shut down the businesses that make a living putting Americans out of work, then we wouldn't have this problem.

Last night NPR reported that President Trump was going to withhold funds from "sanctuary cities" ion an effort to curtail immigration.
There are very few journalists out there and it's bad for the people. Mr. Trump's actions in this case are NOT to curtail immigration. It IS to curtail illegal immigration. So far I have not seen any believable reports that he wants to stop legal immigration.
There should not be a left wing press or a right wing press. As it stands now, they are both liars.

Jobs in America, for Americans. By all means, let's continue to allow legal immigration. We like people that want to come here legally to enrich the lives of themselves and their communities. What we don't want are the criminals or the folks who want to turn sub-sections of the US into a mini third world country. Immigrate and integrate.

The assholes who promote "sanctuary cities" (or colleges) must hate America. They want to destroy what we've all worked for, take our jobs, and force some idiotic socialist agenda on those citizens who have to pay for it. Fuck the sanctuary cities. Take ALL of their funding and let's see how those cities cope when they can't afford the welfare checks for all of those people coming in to be a drain on society.

Bullshit. Let's see all the white people integrate first.

What a shameful way to treat people.

In the first fallout from President's Trump's ban on refugees to the U.S., seven U.S.-bound migrants were stopped from boarding a plane in Cairo early Saturday and two lawyers filed the first legal challenges on behalf of two Iraqi refugees detained at JFK International airport.

One of the men detained at JFK, Hameed Khalid Darweesh, started working as an interpreter for the U.S. military shortly after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He continued working as one until 2013 after his family started receiving death threats. The married father of three applied for a special visa for Iraqi interpreters and was finally granted one on Jan. 20, the same day President Trump was inaugurated.

The other Iraqi refugee, Haider Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, was trying to join his wife and child. His wife worked for a U.S. contractor in Iraq as an accountant, was granted a refugee visa and is now living in Houston. Alshawi was approved for a visa to join his wife and their 7-year-old son on Jan. 11.

Interesting

Liberals seeking to move to Canada because they are unhappy with the election results are finding that Canada won’t take them because its immigration policies exclude those who won’t contribute to the economy.

One of the policies of President Donald Trump that has some Democrats claiming they want to jump ship is his pledge to limit immigration from people whose lives in America would be dependent on welfare. Trump promises “extreme vetting” before accepting immigrants or refugees.

But Democrats looking to move from the U.S. to Australia, Canada and other wealthy English-speaking nations are learning that those nations already have similar policies.

A top law firm known for obtaining Canadian visas for U.S. citizens says there are three main ways to get in: by having in-demand job skills, by owning a business or having a high net worth, or by having relatives already there.
