In a world of Darkness

"certanly. That would be no problem. What did you have in mind."I said trying to figure out what would make him attract less attention.

Maddy

"First we'll need a decent cloak," I seem to be picturing the image as I say it as my eyes remained fixed straight ahead. "Second a strong mule to carry him around, and lastly something to color his skin and disguise his scent." I sniff after last statement. "We want to make him look like an decrepid man, not a warrior."

" no problem be back soon." with that i walk out the door and twoards a "friends" house."Ander, are you here." i said as i enter the house. "yes old friend, What can i do for you."ander ask with a smile."Remember the things i left here last time i visited you.And the mule i left.I need them."As i said this ander went into his room and when he returned he carried a bundle." The cloak and the sword are here.Just as you left them.including the mythril vest. And heres a shirt and pants. There a little tattern but they should serve the perpose."Ander siad "and the mule is just outside.you just have to whistle for him."With that he went back into his room."Thank you old friend i will not forget to visit."With that i walk back outside and whistle for the mule.Loading it up i leave back to the smith shop.

Dekragor pounded once, twice, and a third time. He then pushed the long sword into a bucket of water, hearing the hiss.
When it was thoroughly cold, he threw it into the very coals of the fire. It began glowing a hot red color, he waited, feeling the heat come all around him. Then, he took it out, pounding at the small imperfections, making it sharper than it was before.
Once he felt satisfied, he put it on a rack to cool and dry off. It would be read in the morning. He moved on to some of the daggers.
Once the man left, he piped up a small conversation.
"Do you trust that man?"
He didn't question her position with the man, he just wanted to make sure he posed no thread. Now was not a time for small mistakes.

OOC: no i'm in the right thred. If i seem more , whats the phase, mordem or however you spell it its cuz when ever she is hypnoticed she goes into the place where everyone else is . Nicolette knocked again , shifting all her weight on her left leg and groaned as she slapped a bug off her arm.

OOC no lady raisa you are in wrong thread, you want "The worlds of Darkness..." thread not this one. If you're sure your in right place you have a lot more explaining to do about how you got here and such. Because I have no clue where you are or why.

I shrugged, "He is not treacherous, and sometimes, that is enough." I stretch a little before curling up on a bed of hay, "Let an old woman get some rest, we have a long and trecherous journey ahead of us."

As i reach the shop i walk in after unloading the stuff i brought and tying the mule up. "I have returned baring gifts even kings would covet."I said as i spread the things i had gotten on the floor."First i got you a cloak of hiding. In a town it will not work but in the woods it will make you almos invisible to the human eye.And any others for that matter.Next my swords. The one i give to you was used by a great king made by elfs." I said as i handed him the sword."And the last special thing.A mythril vest.i think that it will stop almost any blade.Wear it under these."I said as i through him the pants and shirt. though tattern would serve to hide the vest. With that i set my sword to the side and laid down to get some sleep.SNORE

"Shhhhh," he scolded at the man, as quietly as he could. He nodded towards the old woman sleeping in the floor.
"Now, I don't mind if Maddy wants you to come along, but you'd better learn some matters."
He took the gifts, placing them on a table. He'd sort through them in the morning. Now, there were more important things to deal with.
Once the weapons were made to his liking, he took the elven sword. It was small, smaller than he normally liked for a sword. He loved long broadsword, that weighed hundreds of pounds. This, was more like a longsword, light and simply. Very sharp though. He walked outside, holding it in his hands, it would have to do.
He sat out on the step, looking out in the darkness. The rain came down, lighter now, gently spraying the ground evenly. He watched it come, his ears listening to the sounds far off in the distance. Nothing that was remotely human. All animal sounds, leaves, rain, the forest life. Not even a horse in the vacinity.
Morning would come soon enough, and with that the beginning of the end. He stood guard throughout the night, waiting for dawn to welcome the world.

It was sometime after midnight when I awoke, I felt better as if I were ten years younger. I stifled a chuckle at the incongruent thought as I slipped quietly outside sensing the warriors presence outside the smithy. Which was still warm from his earlier metal workings. My hand finds his shoulder the darkness feeling more welcome than day. "Perhaps we should travel at night," the words are spoken softly as my hands firmly feel his shoulders running along the muscles. Feeling some tension, I crinkle my brow before massaging the spot. "You do not like him do you?" my phrasing suggesting I mean the man inside, rather than Kragor the psychotically crowned king.

"I don't hate him, no. He is a man, just as any other man, and therfor falls under my protection. I am suspicious of him, yes, but not to the point of distrust."
He nodded, feeling her behind him. Her blood was interweaved in him. He could feel her, even when she wasn't near, but her essence was stronger when she was closer.
"I feel more for your safety than anything else. Besides dethroning the king, you are my top priority."
His hand found hers, as he closed around them tightly.
"I do not want to act like a coward, fleeing in the night, but perhaps you are right. Our trail is too warm, and we should leave as soon as the weapons have cooled. In an hour or so."
He stopped, hearing something in the distance. He thought it might have been a hoofbeat. He listened carefully...
No, just a badger that had found some food.

He took my hand, his skin was so warm. He was so young, I leaned against him saoking up his warmth. He was so different than people here, yet he had my blood. On some level he was my creation, yet I didn't feel maternal or like his owner. I smiled and snuggled up my eyelids closing before I can say more.

As i awake i keep my eyes closed letting the warmth of the still warm smithy soak into me.Then i walk outside hearing her say that we need to travel by night."I quite agree though i think you should put the stuff i gave you on before we leave." i said to the warrior hero as i sat on the step." i will pack our things on the mule while you do that." then as he went inside i talk to maddy" might i ask you something. You had to cry for him right."i ask knowing she did." cause i only know one other person who can" i said as i went and started to pack the mule.

I wonder why he even bothered asking the question if he knew the answer. It seemed trivial and pointless, after all everyone can cry, but it leaves them blind. I shrug it off, something about him concerned me. He too easily found us, he acquired the items all too quickly and he seemed to always be listening in on conversations. Even this last question showed he knew more than he should. I pondered over what I could do, normally I'd scry his life but I'd be unable to see the results.

I wrapped myself in the same protective cloak as before that was now warm and dry, gathering my things taking a pinch of powder in my hand and blowing it on the door before we leave.

why are they so suspicious.i have done nothing but to help them. After what the so called king did to my friends i vowed to get even with him.And i guess i'll have to put up with there distrust for now.turning twoard maddy."And i mean without going blind. He loses his vision for a while but regains it soon enough." and with that i turn and walk next to her waiting for her to ask, WHO?

Dekragor calmly put her in his arms. He held her there, comforting her. It seems as if she has had a long time by herself. Her life filled with mishaps and distrust. It was a wonder her heart was as kind as it was. He kept her close to his body, rocking her slowly back and forth on the step.
The wizard woke up, coming out, with wants to talk to Maddy.
Dekragor excused himself, going to pack for the vicious travelling ahead of them.
Inside, he took pouches, and filled them with weapons. Of anything that would fit. He changed clothing, into what was said to be more conspicuous, and grabbed up Maddy's things as well. Then, he stripped the place of just about everything worth keeping. He would have taken what was left of the fire itself, if he had a way of carrying it. All in all there was plenty of rations, a few sacks of money, weapons, clothing, armor, and a few more home comforts that would be helpful on the way.
He began packing up the horse and mule. Odd, he came up with the same problem as last time. Not enough animals to ride. The mule was his though, a gift from the magician. Well, he must have a trick or two up his sleeve. He doubted a man of magical power couldn't conjure up a horse or two when he needed.
With that done, he sat down next to Maddy, his arm wrapped around her comfortingly.
"We are ready as soon as your finished," he whispered in her ear.

I avoided his trap of words, I did not want to know what kind of dark sorcery would be involved in creating a person who could cry freely and regain his sight. I had heard of such thing but had figured that nothing was worth the price and began to doubt the man's background though not his determination to kill Kragor. I hunkered down as I headed outside and sniffed the wind, I was now thinking about what to do once Kragor was dead. How was I to prevent another such evil from plaguing the land and it's people?

ooc:I'm loading myself with threads again and am going to have a nervous breakdown if i'm not carful.just kidding though i'm not going to join any more threads.the reason i didn't just conjure the stuff was that i didn't know if i could in this thread well now i know.

ic:As i see that we still do not have enough animals i decide to conjure a couple of horses.Going behind a tree i do my chant and walk back to the with two horses." i think this will solve our problem.one for supplys and one for one of us to ride." i said. jesturing to maddy as i said the last part of it.

Dekragor loaded the things on what appeared to be horses. He grunted, saying little about them. Once things were finished he looked to the sky. In the east the sky was turning from a deep black to a more dullish gray. He nodded to himself, getting Maddy.
"Come now," he helped her onto her horse. They kind and gentle arms just as before. When she was seated comfortable, he made sure she had plently of padding under her. There was enough for his satisfactory.
He mounted his own. A rope extended from Maddy's horse to his. She couldn't navigate her own horse, but more importantly he wanted her to be right beside him. Something was going to happen today, he knew it.
"Mage," he called, "Lead the way to the king."
They were off.

Malift

Many miles from the scene ocuring in the once abandoned smithy, we return to the King's Castle. Sitting in a chair, quite comfortable as the flames glow washes over his face Malift awaits the pleasure of his King, or so thinks the King. As the door opens, Malift slids out of the chair as sinous as a snake and bows slightly to him.

Watching as the King pours some brandy for himself Malift thinks through all the information the spy had brought back. "This is perfect," he thought "with a person like this on a mission to destroy him, I will be able to seize the throne during the chaos." as he sat and awaited his King's words regarding the situation.

Maddy

The lad's abuse of magic was admirable, yet I didn't feel we needed the horses enough to put the king's hounds on us. I had no choice in the manner. While he appeared old he had the logic of a 2 year old. I tried to get comfortable on the horse, finding it impossible I set my mind to what would happen once the king died. How was I to prevent a greater evil from taking place? I would rule myself, but in my current 70+ form that wouldn't last long. Upon my death the youth Dekragor, what would happen to him? Would he die? would he merely vanish? would he even last beyond his purpose to kill Kragor?

These thoughts and more troubled me as the mounts plodded to the castle.

Kragor looked Malift over. He seemed a capable fellow, but something about him seemed treacherous. This reminded him of himself and he gave a small evil smile before taking another sip of brandy.
"Malift... surely you have heard the news of the Hero's Awakening?" Kragor asked, putting the brandy down.
Malift nodded in reply.
"I will be honest with you. I am angry at you and your fellows. You dissapoint me very much. When I say I want this Hero dead..." with this Kragor stood up and loomed over Malift, who seemed to shrink in his seat. "I MEAN I WANT HIM DEAD!" Kragor yelled, suddenly flying into a violent rage. His hand sweeped the table in front of him, spilling his brandy and everything else on the table onto the ground.
Kragor took a moment to cool down. "Now. I want you - and your personally - to kill this Hero. I am sure you will be able to handle it."

Dekragor kept them at a swift pace. It still wasn't fast enough for him, but horses and Maddy needed to rest. He made them rest often, making sure they all had plenty to eat and drink.
The supplies had helped greatly, but they would need more soon. He imagined there was a few other towns before entering the land of the castle. Things would be gotten when their supplies were exhausted.
He looked out in the distance. It wasn't a sound that stirred him, but something more unseen. Like a mental trigger being snapped. Pausing a moment longer, he moved back for the horses, being a little more cautious.
"Come," he declared, helping Maddy up to her horse, "We are off again. Try not to speak until we get to the next town."
It was a friviluous thing, but he wanted his senses alert. If he wasn't mistaken, something was getting closer.
He wasn't about to let it get too close. His sword slowly moved out of it's sheath.

being old was not good for travel, but i had cast the spell for a reason and so far it had served it's purpose, the Hero saw me as old wise and needing protection. The other man undoubtedly saw the same things, I wondered about him, he seemed to know things that weren't spoken and I felt uneasy around him. I was still debating how best to keep another Evil from replacing Kragor. The only solution I could think of was to have my sight and youth restored and rule myself. I did not enjoy the idea, as the best rulers do not willingly seek power but have ti thrust upon them. I was unsure of whether the hero would continue to fight my battles or if I would be forced to rely on others. For now I simply contemplated how my sight could be restored without giving up my soul.

OOC sorian you need not suggest a way for my character to regain her sight I already have one in mind.
