I've tried searching for a thread with instructions to index pics here on Lit - with no luck. Does anyone know how? And want to share? :) And is it possible to index pics that already have been uploaded?

I'm assuming you want a list of all of your pics in your first post, instead of just up to five attachments in each post, spread throughout the thread. It's pretty simple, really (I had to ask an experienced AmPics poster how to do it though too :D )

So, you're starting with your individual posts with the pics attached, right?
1) Go to the first pic attachment, and open it (it helps me to do it in a new window or tab)
2) Copy the URL of the attachment you just opened from the address bar
3) Click the 'Edit' button in your first post of the thread, where you want the index to appear
4) You can either:
a) Click the link icon at the top of the text box, type in the description of the pic, hit OK, and paste the URL you just copied (it's kinda nice to do this so people will know what they're looking at more or less); OR
b) Just paste the URL wherever you want it in your post (less nice to your adoring fans, IMO).

Now you can separate the links into series (Me, My Cock, My Lady, etc.) with line breaks, bold and colored text, etc. to make your index visually appealing if you'd like. And as you continue to add pics to your thread, you just go through the same process above for each attachment (so it's easiest to do this from the start of the thread, or you'll have a long, mind-numbing job ahead of you, obviously).

Easy enough?

Good luck! :)

Thanks!

Thank you so much!! That's exactly what I had in mind and was looking for..... Will start to play around with it soon....
Thanks again!

If you're going through a thread with a lot of attachments, it might be easier to copy the shortcuts into a wordprocesser or your e-mail editor and then Copy and Paste into the first post from there.

In your word processer, type [ and url=" (without spaces)

Right click the attachment link in your browser and select "copy shortcut" and paste the shortcut following the quote mark.

Type "]<the description of the picture>[/url]

Don't leave any spaces inside of the square brackets and keep everything on one line.

You can copy and paste the [url=" repeatedly to avoid retyping it for each image before pasting the urls and wait until you've copied all of the urls and descriptions before typing the /url tag and c&p it to the end of each line to finish up.
