Perfect Black and White

Hi.

Just letting you know that I think this pic is really nice... the coloring was great.. I always look so pale in my black and whites.. kudos. :cattail:

Thank you... though I aim for pale.. I like being white like paper.

He was trying to shoot art. Seriously- that was the goal.

I'm sorry..

I'm slowly learning my "photographer's eye". It sometimes takes a little trial and error but I have had art professors compliment my work.

For me- photo shoots are about finding the beauty in your subject. Photo shoots. That's what they're for.

Photography, in general, is about truth, I think. Capturing something in its element, as it is.... but a photo shoot isn't pure photography- it's photography with a purpose.. kinda like propaganda.

Aren't we all into promoting ourselves? We do our hair and wear clothes that work on us, and we put our best foot forward... at least, I try to.

Oh I wasn't condemning you for self-promotion - I learned as a kid that if I didn't beat my own drum no one else would.

And I agree, we all in our own way like to be in the limelight.

I learned the same thing as a kid... my drum didn't get beat until my early 20's.

Joining the Army and surviving Basic Training is what gave me the confidence to beat my own drum. And I definitely march to the beat of a different drummer. :cool:

Life itself taught me that if I'm going to survive, I have to believe I can do it.

Confidence came from there.
