Intent and Obstruction - The Big Difference.

They only needed to be returned to a logical storage site, Then they'd just be considered misfiled. Or, if the chain of command didn't end in Biden's hands (which it likely wouldn't. I've already noted how documents move), they could be destroyed and wondered about. To evaporate the comparison issue they only needed to be found somewhere other than where Biden worked or lived. If they were traceable to Biden's office/home, they could have been returned last spring with no consternation about them. Which leads to that I'd already posted what a better time for search and discovery was--last spring was best, when it was evident Trump would be in trouble over taking, hoarding, and not giving back documents. And early November would have been second best.

The point is that the best people to discover any of it would be the Archives people. As of last Thursday it was uncleared personal lawyers doing the searching. The best time to have it discovered anywhere in Biden's orbit is NEVER. There was time and opportunity to do that. What apparently was missing was the political savvy to connect the dots in that time.

It's January, and the administration has continued to have new document turnups as late as last Thursday--and in an obvious location that it apparently didn't occur to them to get locked down. THEY DID NOT GET THIS CLEANED UP/TAMPED DOWN FOR THREE MONTHS.

How many times do I have to repeat the obvious?

Are you such a partisan that you can't acknowledge how long they've been screwing up over this?
Should of used a burn bag and no one would be the wiser.

Top Secret documents are numbered and tracked. Once again ICan't shows that he's clueless. (Having an unsecured burn bag is as much a violation as having an unsecured Top Secret document, by the way--especially if it has something in it. Even if shredded, its contents haven't been burned yet and there's no burn facility in either Biden's post-VP office or his home.)

But, yes, if they had just been burned, the issue would be muddied and less of a problem than it has been made to be.

Nobody's seriously saying Biden was doing anything nefarious with these documents. It's all about handing a propaganda present to the Republican lying mill needlessly.

If they weren’t aware they were missing since 2017 I doubt anyone knew any better. We’re was NARA, I would think they’d be looking for those documents well before 2022. Who ratted out Biden in the first place, just a curious angle no one talks about.

Perfect is the enemy of good.

And I don’t support anything that smacks of a cover-up.

I don’t mind learning about / understanding how mishandling of classified documents apparently happens with some regularity.

This incident allows for a review, and, hopefully, a refining of protocols and procedures related to classified documents.

This incident also serves to highlight the willful intent and obstruction present in the orange traitor’s own special counsel investigation.

I’m totally fine with that ^.

I don't think, nor have I posted, that mishandling of classified documents happens with some regularity.

What I do think is that you are giving Trumpian mirror-image responses on this issue.

If you aren't claiming that classified documents have not been found at the Biden post-VP office or his home, then you are playing a Trumpian mirror-image game. If you are claiming that the Biden administration couldn't have made them and this present to the Republican grist mill go away within the last nine months and before last Thursday afternoon where Biden's people apparently were clueless for two-and-a-half months about checking out his home, you are playing a Trumpian mirror-image game.

Either way, it's useless to try to discuss this issue with you. You are locked into blind partisanship. If the Biden folks are equally myopic, they have condemned themselves to just keep shooting themselves in the feet over and over again rather than getting ahead of more traps down the road.

Lol. Why do you think a special counsel was appointed? Merrick Garland laid out the facts of the case very clearly. Classified documents were transferred and stored in multiple unsecured locations.
I think a special council was appointed to remove the political aspect, to try and stop the chicken little's of the US running around crying "criminal Biden".

Oh wait, look who was running around...VVVVVVVVV
He’s now the subject of a criminal investigation.

I actually think assigning a special counsel to the classified documents case involving the Obama / Biden administration blunted the RWCJ efforts to gaslight the American people about the partisanship of the DOJ and ThE CURRENT AG

Just like the heavy media coverage of the classified documents found at locations associated with Joe Biden blunted the RWCJ efforts to gaslight the American people about the bias in the mainstream media.

In truth, Bill Barr was the most partisan AG in living memory, and right-wing “media” is the most biased.
