But at the same time, the PRC has GIVEN UP on INTERNATIONALISM. They have not helped any Communist movement in another country since the Vietnam War ended. When they demand Taiwan, they always say, "Taiwan is historically a province of China." They NEVER say "We must free the workers of Taiwan from their capitalist exploiters." They don't even THINK in those terms any more. The USSR, while it lasted, was the acknowledged center and leader of the INTERNATIONAL Communist movement. That is a mantle China has shown no inclination to take up -- and nobody else CAN.When lacking the material foundation to change the world, an idealistic communist party will attempt to alter it in a profoundly selfish manner through violent revolution and the export of revolution.
In contrast, an orthodox materialist communist party will establish a material foundation, using it as a fulcrum to leverage global change.
Take the Communist Party of China, for example: they simply need to focus on developing their own country and seize every available chance during periods of strategic opportunity. By doing so, they will naturally achieve a resounding and honorable victory.
Why is this the case?
Because the relations of production implemented in China are the most advanced in the world. Furthermore, historically, Mao Zedong already built a comprehensive industrial system for China, providing the underlying confidence that the nation cannot be defeated militarily. Therefore, as long as its economic development continues, it is bound to succeed.
The facts bear this out, which is why China has succeeded.
